My husband has Parkinsons.
I managed to get him a week in Belleaire, Greenock, respite. Initially he wasn't keen on the idea but realised I needed a break.

I really had nothing to worry about, he settled in well. He loved the food especially. Also the staff are all lovely & efficient. Room very nice too. Belleaire is a gorgeous old house, full of character & lovely views. I hope to be able to use it again.

I actually can't put into words the amount of gratitude I have for Bellaire. They really put so much care and attention into caring for my dad. We have tried 2 previous care homes for respite; however, my honest opinion is that Bellaire is far superior in every way.

My mum was a resident here for nearly 8 years. She had had emergency admissions to two other care home before Belleaire which sadly were not for her.
Belleaire was another emergency admissions which was a god send. She settled well seemed happy and was definitely cared for.
The view from the front rooms were home from home to her. It was a warm, cosy and caring environment.
For myself and my brother not living in Scotland the environment left us feeling happy and reassured mums needs were met in every way.
I was always kept informed of mums health and needs or any issues that would arise.
I know there was no smoke and mirrors with this home as I never said when I'd visit, I would just arrive and I always had the same experience. I found mum settled, well fed, clean and content.
The staff knew my wishes to be called at any time if there was any life changing situation with mum and they didn't let me down.

Everything about this home is outstanding and I'd do it again!

I have found the staff to be caring and compassionate
They have reacted promptly and appropriately when my Dad's condition deteriorated. I am always kept informed if there have been any changes.

Personally everyone has shown me kindness and understanding which helped me cope with the transition of having to admit my dad for long term care from home. I feel he is safe and well cared for.

My sister has been at Bellaire since August 2020 and it has consistently been a safe, caring and comfortable home for her.
She has some challenging medical issues which are fully met by very professional staff.
I've found the staff to always react quickly to any concerns either in day to day living or medical problems.

She is very happy and contented where she is and I would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a well run and happy environment.

Overall I am quite happy with the home but there is always room for improvement.I personally feel that the fees are a bit high considering they have to pay for the hairdressers and chiropodist. I also feel my family members room is very small and with them being in bed more often than not it becomes an issue when there are few visitors as in seats and no room to move around not just for the visitors but also for the resident. I have also brought up the fact that it is needing a freshen up, e.g the carpet is faded with the sun and the walls need a lick of paint toilet dosent flush properly but the manager has assured me this will be looked at.

Staff/management welcoming and very helpful when my father came to the care home. Myself and my brother were shown round, and we were more than happy with what we saw. My father was giving a activity sheet were he could participate if he wished. Staff explained that they make it their goal to encourage residents to interact with each other, but say obviously that if the resident does not want to do something, they can not force them. Our main request on arrival, was that our father was to walk, as when he came out of hospital, he was walking well with a zimmer frame and we did not want him to slip back to reduced mobility again. Otherwise, my father enjoys chatting with staff and his more than happy with the room he is in. Thank you.

I am extremely happy with the care my mother is receiving in Belleaire. The staff always treat her with respect and she loves them all. The varied menus are tasty and well received. The entertainment team work hard to engage the residents with arts & crafts afternoons, exercises and a variety of musical acts and dancers. During the good weather residents thoroughly enjoy sitting in the gardens watching the passing cruise ships sail down the Clyde.

I find the care home to be a very open, caring and professional environment, not just to the resident but to me personally when visiting. I cannot praise all the members of staff enough, who I find to be very compassionate, understanding and friendly at all times, which is remarkable considering the very difficult job they do. I'm very disappointed in the care my mum has received over the past few years. Lack of communication regarding incidents. Staff shortages, no manager on most shifts. I am in talks with a social worker to have transferred to another care home. I have no trust or faith in this home. Also, what is the point of asking for feedback when I can only put a month in when my concerns have been ongoing.

Staff have a great sense of humour, and always welcome you with a smile. Staff don't just care about residents; they really care about friends and family, always checking in to see how we are doing.
My one wish for the care staff is that there were a few more of them, so they're not stretched.
The views from the property are stunning, and the outside space is brilliant and very well-kept.

Nothing is too much bother for the staff, and they are a brilliant team.
