Overlooking the River Clyde, Belleaire House is a repurposed Victorian mansion and their team of professional and experienced registered nurses and care workers provide high quality, personalised nursing care for their elderly residents, including those with dementia and its related conditions.

They offer a range of ensuite bedrooms, finished with high-quality, bespoke furniture, providing residents with an open and homely area whilst allowing them to retain as much independence as possible.

Offering residents a varied programme of activities that can be tailored to suit individual needs, the team at Belleaire support residents, encouraging them to socialise and continue their hobbies.

There are spacious lounge and dining areas, so residents can choose where to enjoy the nutritious meals prepared by the award-winning catering team (NACC Catering Team of the Year 2020).

Provision of first class care means staff encourage residents and their families, to participate in the home’s commitment to quality and become fully involved at all stages of care planning, as well as many other aspects of care home life.

There is access to paramedical staff including physiotherapists and podiatrists and there is full medical support from local GPs, the local hospital and the Community Mental Health Team.

My mum is a resident and has been for over 3-years. I live in England, so don’t get to see Mum as often as I’d like, but I consider myself and Mum to be so very lucky that she has found Belleaire because of the distance involved.
I already knew Belleaire was good before the pandemic, but knowing that
I wasn’t able to visit during that time was eased 100% by the fact I knew how well looked after, loved and cared for she was being.
This nursing is exceptional, and the staff are unbelievable. The care, love, thought and dedication that is put in by all staff is commendable.
I know that they contact me about everything and let me know what’s happening. I see my mum happy, healthy and thriving, and she trusts them.
What more could we ask.
I will be forever grateful. Thank you.

My friend has been in Belleaire for over a year now, and I cannot fault the staff at all. They are always courteous and so welcoming when I arrive at the home. There is always plenty to do for the residents, which recently I have been able to take part in. The home is always very clean, and the staff
cannot do enough for my friend or me. Being able to visit my friend and know she is well cared for is a great comfort to me.

This past year has been hard for everyone, but it was definitely made easier for me with the support of the fantastic staff of Belleaire House.
My mum has been a resident for several years and has been looked after with care and compassion. My dad visited her every day and was made welcome and treated
like part of the family. Even though he wasn't a resident he was cared for and even provided with meals to join Mum.
Unfortunately, he became ill during the height of the 1st lockdown and was admitted to hospital. (Non-covid related). The Manager and her staff were a great support to me and my family as we dealt with this and cared for Mum. As it became clear that Dad needed palliative he was welcomed into Belleaire House.
Although he passed away shortly afterwards I am extremely grateful to everyone at Belleaire House for the care and compassion they showed. Mum is still well cared for and I am so excited that visiting has restarted and I can be part of the Belleaire family again.

My friend, for whom I have Power of Attorney as she has no immediate family in Scotland, was transferred from hospital about a year ago to Belleaire. I chose Belleaire because of a recommendation from a friend, who said her husband had settled in really well. This has also been my experience with
my friend. She has stopped being anxious and has not needed hospitalisation in the past year. She seems well cared for, although it has been difficult to assess this while we could not visit inside the home for most of the year. I am particularly grateful to be told when there is a particular problem such as a fall (which has happened very rarely) and I have found all the staff to be kind and approachable. Although low in mood at certain times, my friend is happy to be at Belleaire and I am grateful for that.

My wee wife is being cared greatly for by very cheerful staff who have made her feel truly at home and made me feel a bit more at ease knowing she is being cared for. I was allowed in to visit and you could see from the start she was very well looked after and cared for.

I am so very thankful to all the staff at Belleaire who take the most sincere, kind and loving care, of my wee mum. I live in the US and I can’t express enough, what peace of mind the nurses give me in telling me all the information about Mum and explain every detail of my mum's health and well-being.
It brings me such comfort and I do not have to worry about her, I can think about her and know how well-loved and looked after she is, they truly care which really warms my heart and makes me extremely grateful, my most heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you.

My mum had a three-week respite stay at Belleaire House January - February 2020, which was arranged at very short notice. A member of management visited Mum at her home reassuring her and answering any questions that she may have had. There was a phone call made to my sister - again we found this to
be very reassuring and comforting to us all as it was the first time any of us had experienced a residential care setting. On arrival, my mum and sister were made most welcome by the staff. Mum had a wonderful room with river views. The facility was very clean and well maintained with well attended outdoor areas. Mum enjoyed the interactions with all staff and commented that they were the greatest asset and could not have done enough for her.
When the family visited, staff made us feel welcome and we felt part of the 'family'. This has been a very positive experience for Mum and we would recommend this residential care setting.

I have found peace of mind now that my husband is in this nursing home. All the staff have been very good. They let me know what's happening which helps me a lot as I worry too much. thanks to all the staff and management.

The Manager is an absolute star, answered all my questions and put me at ease with my concerns. Showed me around the facilities. Great staff. All very friendly. Nothing is too much bother. I also like that I can pop in any time without warning and when I have, everyone has been at the top of their game.
First class care for my Mum thus far.

All the staff I have had contact with had been extremely caring, helpful, friendly and interacted well with my mum and dealt with her with dignity and respect.
My one concern is that there appears not to be enough staff to allow them time to sit with residents for a chat, particularly at bedtime and
during the night if residents need the toilet.

My mother has Alzheimer's and is very well cared for at Belleaire. The staff work hard to ensure that she is safe, happy and healthy. They take the time ti deliver care in a way that she can accept.This is not always easy! The encourage her to participate in activities and think of ways of enriching
her day. everyone is always welcoming and friendly, with time to talk to and reassure relatives. I am very grateful for the hard work they do, every day.

My mum has liked being in Belleaire House from day one. The staff are caring and attentive. All of her needs are taken care of. If there are any medical problems with my mum I am informed immediately. Entertainment is provided which my mum always enjoys and participates in.

My mother has been a resident for almost three months now and in that time I feel that every effort has been made by all members of staff to get to know my mother, which in turn has allowed them to meet her needs effortlessly. Staff and management are also extremely friendly and approachable, no question
is too big or too little. I feel the staff at this care home want the best quality of life for my mother and are currently working hard to find the right balance of medication to allow this to happen. Overall a lovely relaxed homely environment that family and residents are allowed to feel welcome and cared for at all times.

Every member of staff has shown a friendly, yet professional way of working. Every individual has been very helpful when we have had queries. My mother (a resident at the home) responds well to all the staff and lights up when they talk to her. She is keen to tell me and also my sisters how much she
likes the home and the people working there. The standards of cleanliness are high and there is, more often than not, cleaning staff carrying out their duties. My mother's bedroom and bathroom are always spotless. Mum also has a beautiful view outside her window. The family is very happy with the care home.

From the first day my mum came in she brightened up. We as a family have been very pleased with the care of my mum. The staff have been great and at the end were amazing to my mum but also us as a family. Well done all.

My dad spent just under six months at Belleaire House following a major stroke. This was a massive decision for us as a family to put Dad into a nursing home as he always lived such an independent lifestyle. With this in mind, the perfect nursing home for Dad was a must.
Belleaire was my first choice
of home primarily due to the stunning view of the Clyde but also the staff. From management to the care workers, my dad was treated with dignity and respect as were the family, keeping us informed of any changes to his health. I visited every day and I was extremely happy with how my dad was, he bonded brilliantly with the staff and that was important to us. Visiting nearly every day, the staff become like family and close friends however, unfortunately, Dad passed away and his time at Belleaire was short lived. We cannot thank the staff enough for everything you've done for my dad. I know he will be looking down as proud as punch- just like us. Thanks again.

I feel my husband is well cared for, but one day he wore a jumper which wasn't his with holes on both shoulders. I complained and it was noted.


I would like my husband to be taken out. He has been in since September 2018 and this hasn't happened yet.


He is good on his feet and only 4 are taken

out, some in wheelchairs so I feel that this should be OK as 2 people go out with 4 residents.

My husband has been a resident in Belleaire Care Home for over six years and has always been looked after with respect and kindness. For the last two years, he has been bedridden, he no is no longer able to feed himself, the kind and caring staff feed him all his food which is pureed normal food, he
also gets all his fluids. All nursing staff are there for everyone.

I have always found every time that I have visited my mum, the staff are always friendly and interacting with the residents no matter when I visit ie 'time'.
Also when they are doing activities they let their family members join in which is really good, that way we get to know the other residents.
My
mum has settled really well and this gives me and my family peace of mind knowing that she is getting excellent care.

Tracy Docherty

Job Title: Care Home Manager Joined: 2023

Tracy brings over seven years of experience in care home management to her role at Belleaire Care Home. Starting as a Team Lead and then a Deputy Manager at a sister home within Meallmore, Tracy joined Belleaire in October to initially provide support. Her skill and dedication led her to the position of Care Home Manager.


Her mission is to enhance Belleaire's status as the top choice for care and the best place for employment. She is focused on building a strong staff team and continuously improving the home's Care Inspectorate grades, ensuring Belleaire offers a nurturing and high-quality environment for both residents and staff.
