They are committed to developing a positive and happy home where people enjoy living and working. To ensure residents continue to have an active social life, regular trips in the minibus are organised to the local shops, theatre or to take part in local events and activities. They also offer a variety of tailored activities in the centre so residents can continue to enjoy hobbies.
Their landscaped gardens are safe, secure and easily accessible, providing an attractive area to sit and relax or enjoy a spot of gardening.
Care staff are trained to the highest standards and are on hand 24-hours a day to provide professional care that respects the rights and dignity of residents, as well as full medical support from specialist nurses trained in Huntington’s, Epilepsy and learning disabilities.

Grigor House has provided an ideal experience for my daughter. From the word go the manager took time to learn about her needs, so the care and support she is given really is personalised. I have found all the staff members to be warm, friendly, kind and talented individuals. It's a pleasure for my daughter and also for myself and other family members to go there. They have made such a difference to the quality of life of my daughter, I have watched her flourish there.

My son has been going to Grigor House for a number of years and he always says he enjoys it there, they have varied activities and have a walk about town when weather permits, play games and watch films, so he is always kept busy. He says all staff are always helpful and attentive.

Hi, I'm a long-time resident of the Manor Care Centre. I have no problems with the care I receive except the what has now become the normal 'lack of staff'. There's also not enough social interaction going on, though been trying to have a movie afternoon every Thursday with free popcorn and drinks in an area designated the Cinema Room. I also started a wee garden area but have had to refrain from keeping it going because of lack of staff to do the jobs I need help with. The staff we do have here are also all exceptional and try their damnedest to make it a happy existence. All the rooms are nice and can be furnished to your personal tastes the housekeepers keep them tidy and clean they will chat about general news and such like they also are willing to help in any way. The meals are very adequate, the cooks try to make meals that are exciting but it's down to financial restraint. The cook makes excellent cakes for special occasions.

My niece is bedridden. I have nothing but praise for every aspect of care given to her. The staff are always pleasant and helpful and do all they can to take care of all her needs. They pop in to see how she is constantly and take other residents in for a short visit where appropriate. We are made to feel welcome when we visit. I cannot give high enough praise for what we have encountered during the time my niece has been in the care home. She has settled in and it feels like home to her. My daughter has attended Grigor House 4 days a week for almost 2 years now and seems to be very happy with the facilities provided. It is a safe environment with plenty of activities and outside space. All the caregivers are very helpful and understand the needs & wants of my daughter....
Hopefully, the building work on the construction site adjacent to Manor/Grigor House will be completed soon and trying to park in a safe place is a nightmare and more or less impossible at times.

Here at the Manor, our aim is to provide a warm welcome to you all create a desirable care home for you to live and work in and promote and guide you to the best quality of life that you deserve.
We have a successful knowledgeable core staff team who promote, empower and engage with others in a passionate, kind and caring manner.
The manor offers a range of services for younger adults from daily activities, and social skills, to promoting independence and engaging with the wider community and other businesses. We have access to an array of professionals who all assist us to make your life more enjoyable and our key focus is to be as person-centred as we can. We are all unique in our own ways.
We have access to the best nutritional advice to aid different conditions, we specialise in Huntington’s, MS, Neurological illnesses, palliate care, epilepsy and learning disabilities. We have a learning and development team who work tirelessly to ensure our staff team has access to the latest and up-to-date guidance and regularly promotes them.
At Manor Care Centre, we dedicate time to supporting our residents in reaching their goals. We go the extra mile to ensure that we provide a happy and nurturing environment for this to be possible.
We have an excellent team of staff who take the time to know and understand the needs of each individual resident. We have on-site transportation with wheelchair accessibility and organise regular trips out of the home. Our community outreach programmes also help our residents to socialise with and feel a part of the local community.
Our home is purpose-built for specialist needs as it is all ground level and our automatic doors allow for greater mobility. A number of our rooms also have living room and kitchenette units to encourage independent living and we have recently added a gazebo and a wheelchair swing to our offering.
What’s more, residents have the opportunity to meet and help take care of our resident dog, who enjoys making friends with everyone it meets.
Learning Disability / Autism, Mental Health Condition, Physical Disability, Visual / Hearing Impairment, Eating Disorders, Younger Adults are the registered (by the Care Quality Commission) categories of Care.
