Daviot Care Home

The home is well looked after and facilities great. With a couple of nice rooms to sit in and watch tv and meet other residents.

My wife has been welcomed into the home and has had the best of care by all the staff who go out of their way to make life as comfortable and safe as possible. The attention to detail is second to none in every sence whether it is in my wife's care or my family's when we visit each week. The Home is clean and tidy and the hygine is exem every aspec of the Home is done for the Residents and visitors alike, everything works like clockwork

When he arrived, he was struggling significantly with past trauma, feeling anxious. The team invested in his emotional wellbeing with profound patience & empathy. Through their person-centred approach, they provided an environment that enabled trust building. They took time to understand his history, his triggers & tailored care accordingly to foster a sense of security. Seeing him recover his sparkle is immensely comforting. They've nurtured him & treated family as true partners to care.

Caroline was extremely helpful and covered all aspects of Christine's care. She put us totally at ease and asked if we had any concerns - which we do not. She was very helpful, checking staff available on shift when we will be visiting for Christine's 90th birthday. We, as a family, are delighted with the care Christine receives and are very grateful to all carers, nurses, kitchen staff, entertainment. Just 'thank you' all.

We are so relieved to have got dad into Daviot after a year spent between 2 hospitals where his condition was rapidly deteriorating, more so than the dementia. The staff at Daviot have been superb, and this has lifted some of the weight from mum. We know there are difficult times ahead, but we now feel supported in a way we did not by the hospital staff and confident that Dad is being given the care and dignity he deserves.

Daviot Care Home has made my mum's life enjoyable, safe and given her a new lease of life over the last 13 months. She is happy again, has restarted eating properly, and is engaging with others, both staff and residents. I feel safe in the knowledge Mum is well looked after, receives great care, and has a range of enjoyable and fun activities to join in with. Mum's care is well documented and I feel the care home staff at all levels know my mum and treat her very well.

I am so happy Mum is in this care home, I have absolutely no concerns at all. Mum is very happy here, it's clean, she is well looked after. All staff extremely friendly and very helpful.

My dad, Robin, was at Daviot Care Home until he passed away in January. During his time here, he was happy, relaxed and extremely well cared for. The staff treated him with dignity and respect and created a homely, stimulating environment. He had friends, community and quality of life in his last years. The catering is of a particularly high standard. When Dad's health began to deteriorate as his Alzheimer's progressed, staff supported him round the clock, with expertise and great competence as he died peacefully.

I couldn't have greater peace of mind with the care my wife receives at Daviot Care Home. Without exception the staff are totally dedicated to all the residents, they are kept safe and cared for to the highest standard, meals, personal care and activities are first class. My wife seems very content and that is a real blessing.

The dignity and exceptional standard of care my mother receives during her short time at Daviot Care Home, has gone so much further than words can share. You have given us peace where there was none, and a period of time we though had long gone from her world. I have been a nurse for a long long time and I can say with complete honesty that the palliative care he received was everything and more we needed for her. Thank you.

My mum could not have had better care than what she received at Daviot Care Home. The whole team from management, maintenance, nursing, domestic and catering. The activities staff and gardeners are also included in my gratitude. Everyone had a friendly smile and caring attitude towards my mum and my family. I cannot express how grateful I am to the staff and management team for the care given to my mum over the last year and up to her passing in early January 2025. Communication was excellent, and her coordination of the care between staff and the GP was excellent. Not only did they care for my mum, but they cared for us as a family.

Very pleasant overall experience, a lovely setting for walks or sitting looking out is beautiful. Never a problem to talk to staff, always there to help you in anyway they can. A hidden gem, that is what I think.

The care my husband receives at Daviot Care Home is exemplary. He has Alzheimers disease and staff are very well trained to support him with all its complexities. All staff, in whatever capacity, treat him with kindness, respect and dignity. Care staff are solution focused when problems arise and work closely with the GP. All residents have a care plan in place to suit their individual needs. My husband's special diet is catered for and he enjoys his meals. Activity Co-Ordinator's support his mental health and well being. The excellent senior management have created a friendly homely environment where staff, residents and families are all valued.

My husband has been in Daviot Care Home since the end of August and is settled in. I have been very impressed with his care and the friendliness of the staff. I feel that he will be well looked after in this lovely care home.

My mum's care has been exemplary. The staff take a person-centred approach which ensures mum's care needs are met both physically and emotionally. Mum has experienced significant health challenges over the last few months and the staff were proactive in providing all she needed while also ensuring we (family) were okay and kept up to date at all times.
