Situated in the Scottish Highlands in Inverness, Daviot Care Home is a former hotel that has been fully converted to provide high quality, nursing care for clients affected by general frailty. The home also offers specialist units for those living with Dementia and Mental Health Conditions.

Throughout the home, you can find some of the latest technologies and each of the 90 en-suite bedrooms are fully furnished and finished to a very high standard.

The well-being of residents is paramount at Daviot Care as is safety and mobility, encouraging each person to remain as independent as possible.

The manager strives to provide a relaxed and happy home where staff and residents alike can enjoy living and working together. Residents are offered a full range of activities personalised to their needs to ensure they enjoy a good social life and hobbies.

Nutritious and tasty meals are prepared by the highly skilled catering team and can be enjoyed in one of the 13 spacious lounge or dining areas. Outside, the safe, secure and easily accessible landscaped gardens provide an attractive area to sit and relax or even enjoy a spot of gardening. Residents can also choose to pop into the hairdressing and beauty salon for a spot of pampering.

At Daviot care Home the provision of first-class care means staff encourage residents, and their families, to participate in the home’s commitment to quality and become fully involved at all stages of care planning, as well as many other aspects of care home life.

Residents have access to allied health professionals, including physiotherapists and podiatrists, and there is full medical support from local General Practitioners, the local hospital and the Community Mental Health Team.

My relative is well looked after by staff who are respectful and friendly and I am kept informed of any changes that are being made. She is well-fed and lives in a clean environment. I would recommend Daviot Care Home to others.

The only thing I wish to say is I would like for her care plan to be followed to the word and never again be convinced into agreeing my mother should attend hospital when it's not her wish to do so, especially being sent there unattended when it was not necessary.

Most staff are caring, compassionate, understanding and helpful. I am always made to feel welcome and issues around my Mum's care are discussed and my feelings are respected. Mum is still able to show if she is happy and contented, she also shows me the members of staff she feels treat her well. Some
staff members in the past have displayed a degree of annoyance and impatience with her behaviours and this has been confirmed by Mum's expressions etc. This has recently improved.

I have witnessed and experienced continuous and consistent care to an excellent standard. All the staff are so professional, but also so caring. I can say my mother trusts the staff and is so fond of them, this is quite unusual as my mum has quite a quiet, reclusive personality and is at times mistrusting,
but this is not the case at Daviot Care Home. She told me 'I like it here'. The staff are a blessing to us.

I find the staff friendly, caring and very supportive of my father. The staff are all very polite and professional. I am delighted with the improvements in the care that my sister-in-law gets in the home, she looks so much cleaner than she was in the last care home. She now joins in with games etc, she is also sleeping better.

My husband was admitted in an emergency as his dementia suddenly got worse. The staff helped him to settle, coped with his initial aggression, reassured him with his many worries and anxieties, helped him to integrate and mix with the other residents. Some of the activities are too much for him but
he enjoys the music, especially the live music. The activity coordinator make time to speak to him, and also to me, to explain what they are doing and what they are going to do.

Job Title: Care Home Manager Joined: 2024

One of the things I really love about my job is interacting with residents on a daily basis while also having the opportunity to manage the home and create a safe, secure environment that enables residents to lead fulfilling lives. I also pride myself in creating an environment that allows staff to feel supported and appreciated for the work they do.


Daviot is very much part of the community, with the majority of residents having local connections and most colleagues living close by.  This has created a very homely atmosphere where relatives and friends become part of the family at Daviot.


For the residents, Daviot offers a kind and caring environment where they feel respected and supported in maintaining their links with the community. We strive to allow them to maintain as much of their independence as possible with the assurance that staff are there to support them whenever needed.
