Richmond Villages Bede Celebrates 378 Years of Combined Service

Richmond Villages Bede recently celebrated the long service of their dedicated staff members, honouring the people at the heart of the village’s community. The invitees in attendance comprised an astounding 378 years of combined service from all of the village’s staff, a milestone that reflects the commitment and passion of the team.

Team members celebrated together with a three-course meal, organised thoughtfully by the retirement village’s renowned hospitality team.

The retirement village extended a special congratulations to Val , senior Care assistant and Wendy senior registered nurse, for a remarkable 30 years of service each. Jane, also a senior registered nurse was applauded for 25 years of commitment. Several other long-standing team members were also recognised, each receiving congratulations for their invaluable contributions over the years.

Jane commented: “It was a truly special evening. The hospitality team worked hard to put on a gorgeous spread, all beautifully served by management. It is wonderful to work within a big team where you feel appreciated.”

When asked about her favourite part of her job, Jane shared: “The friendly faces of the residents and my colleagues.”

Debra Cosgrove, village manager, shared: "We are extremely proud of Team Bede. They are a wonderful, dedicated and caring group of people, and it’s an honour to work alongside them.”

Louise Smith, head of activities, added: “The team’s commitment makes a real difference every day, and this celebration is just a small way to say thank you for everything they do."
