Colin Boore, a resident at Redwalls Nursing Home in Sandiway, which is part of the Kingsley Healthcare Group was delighted to visit Radio Northwich and present one of the shows, alongside his daughter and hosted by Kim Smith. This opportunity arose as he won a DJ experience voucher at the Macmillan Coffee afternoon held in September.
Colin, who spent most of his life living in Brighton and is a keen supporter of Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club now lives at Redwalls Nursing Home, where he moved to be closer to his daughter, who lives locally.
Colin, who enjoys most types of music but is a real fan of Country and Western and has seen Dolly Parton live, was delighted to be a ‘DJ’ on the show with his daughter, alongside Kim, sharing his love of music with everyone as well as sharing some of the wonderful memories from his life.
Pauline Parker-Moore, Regional Operations Director North West said ”What a wonderful experience for Colin to share with his daughter. The broadcast will be a wonderful memory to keep and share with family members for years to come.” She continued “A special thank you to Kim and the team at Radio Northwich for enabling this to happen.”
Everyone at Redwalls Nursing Home is delighted that Kim Smith from Radio Northwich is going to broadcast her show from the home on Christmas morning.
