Braywood Gardens Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, was filled with festive cheer on 18 December 2025 as pupils from Sacred Heart Catholic School visited the home to perform a special Christmas carol service for residents.
The local school choir delighted residents and staff by singing a selection of hymns and carols the children had been learning at school, creating a heartwarming celebration that truly captured the spirit of Christmas. The visit formed part of the strong and ongoing relationship between Braywood Gardens and Sacred Heart Catholic School, a partnership that is cherished by everyone involved.
Jeff, Home Manager at Braywood Gardens, highlighted the importance of the event, saying:
“We felt it was so important and special to involve the local school to come and sing to our residents. We have a lovely relationship with Sacred Heart School, and everyone always looks forward to their visits.”
The event brought together pupils, residents, and staff, strengthening intergenerational connections and promoting community engagement. For residents, the visit offered a meaningful opportunity to join in the festive celebrations and enjoy the joy and energy the children brought into the home.
The atmosphere throughout the carol service was described as full of joy and excitement, with smiles shared by all. Braywood Gardens remains committed to nurturing strong community links and creating memorable experiences that enhance residents’ wellbeing, especially during the festive season.
