Balnacarron Care Home Welcomes MP Visit

On Friday 19th December 2025, Wendy Chamberlain, MP for North East Fife, visited HC-One Scotland’s Balnacarron Care Home in St Andrews, Fife to recognise the home’s commitment to exceptional care and its strong sense of community.

During her visit, Ms Chamberlain enjoyed afternoon tea with residents, taking time to chat and hear about their experiences of life at Balnacarron. She also discussed the home’s upcoming Regeneration Community Project, exploring how it will further strengthen links between the care home and the wider local community.

Ms Chamberlain was given a tour of Balnacarron’s modern facilities, including a welcoming tearoom, on-site hair salon, ensuite bedrooms, and beautifully maintained gardens. She spent time speaking with residents and team members, learning more about the home’s personalised approach to residential and residential dementia care, as well as the meaningful activities that enrich life for those living in the 33-bed home.

The visit also offered a moment to celebrate the dedication and professionalism of Balnacarron’s care team, whose compassionate work has made the home a valued part of the St Andrews community.
