Beauleigh Court Care Home, part of the Sanders Senior Living Group, embraced festive fun and fundraising on 22 December, hosting a special “Wear Your Pyjamas to Work Day” in support of Age UK. The Christmas-themed event brought residents and staff together in their pyjamas to raise money for a charity dedicated to supporting older people across the UK.

The initiative aimed to highlight the importance of supporting older people during the Christmas period, a time that can be especially lonely for many. Age UK provides vital services including friendship, advice and practical support, helping older people stay connected and reducing feelings of isolation. Through the pyjama day, Beauleigh Court proudly raised over £150, contributing to the continuation of this important work.

Residents and staff fully embraced the spirit of the day, enjoying a relaxed and joyful atmosphere while coming together for a meaningful cause. The event reinforced Beauleigh Court’s commitment to supporting older people both within the home and across the wider community.

Hannah, Home Manager at Beauleigh Court, said: “I thought it was a lovely occasion for residents to see staff joining in, having fun, and being part of the home while raising money for charity.”

Sally, Domestic Assistant, added: “It was the best day spent in my pyjamas, especially doing it for a great cause.”

Reece, Customer Relationship Manager, commented: “I am so lucky to work with such a supportive team, everyone put on their pyjamas to make a difference!”

Beauleigh Court would like to thank everyone who took part and donated, helping to make a positive difference for older people during the festive season.
