Residents from Rosedale Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, enjoyed a wonderful festive outing on 22 December 2025, attending their second annual Christmas Lunch at the Paul Pry Public House in Rayleigh. The event brought residents together with members of the local community to celebrate Christmas in a warm, lively and welcoming setting.
The annual lunch is a much-loved tradition organised by the Lifestyle Team, giving residents the opportunity to celebrate Christmas while being part of the wider community spirit.
The afternoon was filled with festive cheer as residents enjoyed a delicious Christmas meal, shared drinks, and joined together in singing carols. Laughter, jokes and conversation flowed freely, creating a joyful atmosphere that was felt throughout the pub.
Staff at the Paul Pry Public House warmly welcomed the group back, saying: “It’s so lovely to have you all back again for another year this Christmas.”
Members of the public also shared their delight, with one customer commenting: “It’s so lovely to see so many smiling faces.”
Residents thoroughly enjoyed the day, with comments including: “We have had such an amazing time, thank you for organising it for us,” “It’s great to have a Christmas lunch with friends,” and a particular favourite of the afternoon: “The potatoes are so yummy!”
