Bet Celebrates Her 100th Birthday in Style at Byron House

Byron House Care Home recently had the honour of celebrating a milestone birthday as our much-loved resident. Bet, marked her 100th birthday!

Reaching 100 years of age is a truly remarkable achievement, and our team wanted Bet’s special day to reflect just how meaningful it was. The home was filled with conversations and celebration as Bet was surrounded by those closest to her. This included her family, fellow residents and members of our team, all coming together to make the day one to remember. The day was spent enjoying a delicious birthday cake, plenty of food, and each other’s company.

Lucie Baker, Activities Lead at Westgate Healthcare, shared: “Seeing Bet’s face light up after receiving her gifts was incredibly special. One of them was a dress she had chosen herself on a previous shopping trip with the Byron family. She even asked our minibus driver, Roy, to buy it for her. Moments like these mean so much to us because we will never forget them.”

It was a privilege for everyone at Byron House to celebrate such a significant moment in Bet’s life and to also create memories that will be cherished by all who shared the day with her.
