My 96 year old mother had a stroke. Prior to this she was active and sociable. Afterwards she was anxious, impatient and depressed. The first and second nursing homes asked her to leave as her behaviour was unbecoming. She ended up at St Pauls floor 1. Amazing, is all I can say. Staff are everywhere,
they appear out of nowhere. Their empathy for their residents is astonishing. They look at who the person was, not is. No loneliness on floor 1.
Reply from Jay Demetrious, Marketing Executive at St Pauls Care Centre

Thank you so much for sharing your kind words. We're truly touched by your feedback and delighted to hear that your mother feels supported and understood at St Pauls. Our team on Floor 1 will be thrilled to know their care and compassion have made such a difference.

Following on from a hospital stay my mum needed frequent nursing care which couldn't be adequately delivered at home. She decided that the best solution would be to move to a nursing home where she could receive care until she was well enough to go home. As a result of an excellent personal recommendation
we chose the Hampden Hall Care Centre.
The recommendations we had received turned out to be completely accurate. Mum received exemplary care at Hampden Hall. Every member of staff was kind, communicative and attentive and the facilities second to none. The nursing care was excellent and within a short space of time my mum decided that she felt so much safer as a resident that she decided to remain there permanently.
She enjoyed the many social activities that were arranged by the team and the interaction with other residents as well as having the peace and quiet of her own room with full en-suite shower room facilities.
We can't recommend Hampden Hall enough.

Just wanted to say that St Paul's Care Home have been fantastic with the care afforded to our mum, during her time in the home. In particular the staff on the first floor have been exceptional in the support given not just to mum, but the wider family. They have been considerate, respectful, compassionate,
sympathetic and empathetic.
The engagement of the activities team, meant there was always a lot going on, which gave the floor a really good feeling.
The facility is modern, very clean and well thought out. Mum's room was spacious with a nice outlook.
This was a very difficult time for the family, but the care mum and we received could not be faulted.

The decision to have our dad taken into care wasn't an easy decision and was taken out of our hands due to personal circumstances. Our dad has now been a resident at Hampden Hall for over a year and he has settled in very well, at the first he tried to escape a couple of times, soon caught and back
to his room. The staff and everyone at Hampden are very helpful, polite and do so much for all the residents not just my dad. He has been made very welcome which is lovely to see and hear especially as my sister and myself cannot visit on a regular basis as we both live so far away. Thank you to the team that has helped us to have a video call meeting every week with our dad, it helps us to see that he is keeping well and so well looked after by everyone. Special thanks to the staff on Pine Unit its nice to see him happy and smiling again in everything you do for him we really appreciate it.

My wife has now been at the care home for about 6 months and is fully settled in. I was invited to a Country and Western Musical, BBQ and ice cream event at the care home. Really not my scene, however, my wife is very musical. I went and was immediately impressed with the fantastic organisation that
had obviously gone into the planning. The music, BBQ and the tattoo painting lady. The star for me was the maintenance man, normally rushing around with a screwdriver in his hand, fully dressed up as Woody from Toy Story. A really memorable day. I wish to thank everyone for the excellent planning for a most enjoyable day.

Wife went in from hosptial after a fall and a blood clot, which left her unable to walk. The physio team were fantastic, giving her plenty of their time. After a few weeks, she was up and walking, all be it with a frame. After being home a few days, she now walks with me, just holding her hand and no
frame. This would not have been possible without their patience and kindness.

A well managed Nursing Home with comfortable rooms and attentive staff.
Food is good despite recent staffing problems. My daughter and I have particularly enjoyed having lunch at the home with my wife - who is pleased for herself that there are always alternatives to the set menus,
The staff are friendly
and caring and always helpful. Activities are well organised including the special events to which families are invited.
The only downside we can think of, is the almost constant noise (beeps) from the call system, but this is ignored after a while.

Dad has now been a resident at Hampden hall for 6 months. The decision for him to go into care was not an easy one however seeing him now we absolutely know it was the right thing to do. The staff have gone out of their way to make Dad welcome and feel part of the home. Although hesitant at first
he now participates in the activities provided. Special thanks to two particular ladies on Pine floor for all they are doing for Dad.
It's so reassuring to know he is happy and being taken care of xx

Thank you so much for your lovely words. We understand how difficult the decision can be, so it means a lot to hear that you feel reassured and happy with the care your dad is getting. It's always our aim to make sure every resident feels truly at home, settled, and able to enjoy the activities we provide - so it's wonderful to hear your dad is doing just that. We'll be sure to pass on your special thanks to the team on Pine floor - they will be so touched to hear this.

Having cared for my wife for nearly 18 months I know what a difficult task your staff have to deal with. I don't think my wife could be in better hands. Your carers and nurses have treated her with the utmost care. The way they have conducted themselves leave nothing to desire. My wife is very fussy
eater but has found the food much to her liking .
Reply from Sarah Williams, Marketing Manager at Westgate House Care Centre

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience. We are truly honoured to be able to support both you and your wife. It's wonderful to hear that our carers and nurses have provided the level of care and attention that gives you peace of mind. We're also delighted that your wife has enjoyed her meals, despite being a fussy eater! Your kind words mean a lot to our team and will be shared with them-they truly motivate us to continue delivering the best care possible.
