The environment was clean + pleasant. Dining room + communal rooms are light, airy + well decorated. Food very good on the whole. Varied + tasty. Gym/Physio Room well equiped. Majority of staff went above + beyond with their caring + all worked very hard during their long shifts. Their smiles made such a big difference! I found the air mattress challenging to sleep on. There were no activities for Rehab patients at the weekends. Too much time spent alone in room - though plenty time to rest. No recycling of items in room bins? Overall very good experience.

It has taken time for mum to settle but the staff have been very kind and supportive. The staff always welcome you with a smile. My family have been very impressed with the staff and how clean the home is when they visit. I am kept informed of any medical needs for mum. I can definitely recommend the home.

I cannot thank Westgate House enough for the dignified and professional way they took care of my Mother. She was placed at Westgate house following a stay in hospital for what turned out to be end of life palliative care. From the moment she arrived she was extremely well looked after. All of the staff, nurses, those serving dinners, cleaners, were all so friendly, kind and welcoming with her, and treated her with the utmost respect and dignity, chatting with her and keeping her happy. She was encouraged to be active and mix with the other residents until that was no longer possible which did her the world of good. Her medical needs were attended to efficiently and effectively, her room was always kept spotlessly clean. The nurses kept me up to date at all times with any issues and were always on hand if I needed them. When I sat with her all night as she passed away they were looking after both of us!! It was obviously a horrendous time for me, but their support made it bearable.

Excellent in every way - staff, treatment, food, etc. I recommend it in every way.

The staff have been magnificent and exemplary. We cannot thank them enough for the support they gave mum and the family. Thank you, particular thanks to Kyla, Tinashe and the entire team.

Since Mum has been a resident of Byron House, they have made the transition very easy and made Mum and us part of the family. I now consider everyone part of my extended family from management, reception staff to nurses to caterers. I can't thank you enough for making a very difficult decision and situation, easy and seamless.

I strongly recommend Byron House. It was a huge relief when they welcomed my mother at very short notice on the day she was discharged from hospital after a serious fall. They have nursed her back to health with quality nursing care, good food and a very warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff are all delightful and respond quickly to any queries or concerns. There is a good range of entertainment, activities and day trips. We now have complete peace of mind, knowing that my mother is being so well looked after.

My weeks at the Westgate House rehab unit amounted to an encouraging and enjoyable experience. The expertise and kindness of the professional therapy staff were well complemented by the good humour and kindness of the overall staff. The physical and delicious varied meals all contributed to the healing aims, together with the friendly atmosphere among the residents. Visitors are welcomed as part of the care. The whole unit worked as a team, and any problems were due to a shortage of staff causing undue pressure. The overall atmosphere was always of concern for our recovery, to re-enable us for return to everyday life. With very sincere thanks from my husband, family and especially myself!

Staff are kind respectful and most of all residents are treated with dignity. The Quality of meals are hotel standard varies from week to week in choice of. It is a very clean care home and safe. Staff are always ready to listen and answer any questions you may have

I feel confident in leaving my sister in the care of Riverdale care home. My sister is in long term care and finds the staff caring and helpful. Staff are proactive in ensuring her comfort and wellbeing. The facilities are excellent, cleanliness is immaculate. Staff become involved with residents to ensure their involvement in activites. Staff are friendly and professional. This is by far the best carehome I have been in. The food and menu are of a high standard.

Sound management of the home is evident as can be experienced through responses to specific resident needs which are met speedily through the skill and motivation of staff. External sources are accessed and deployed where needed. Inclusion is evident through consultation at team and individual level.

Overall my mum has settled well and the staff show her kindness and treat her with dignity and respect and always with a friendly smile. All the staff are welcoming and she has become more social which was very important. Whenever we have asked questions response time has been speedy along with explanations. With respect to the 'Value for money' question, the response below wasn't solely directed to St Paul's, but rather than the carehome industry in general. In an ideal world, air conditioning would be throughout the building + not just for the lounges + dining rooms. The bbq was very enjoyable and in conclusion I would have no hesitation in recommending St Paul's.

Just had a lovely time at our summer barbecue. The weather was beautiful, and outside in the garden adjacent to the river the setting was idyllic. The staff and residents and their family and friendly made for a wonderful day. The singer and music were suitable for all tastes. This was taken up by dancing and a jolly time even for the less mobile and infirm. It could not have gone better. Many thanks.

Words cannot express our gratitude to everyone at Riverdale for the kindness, compassion and care shown to my dad during his final days. Dad was only a resident for a short time after we realised he was no longer safe at home. After supporting and caring for him for the previous two years, my brother and I were understandably anxious about finding somewhere that would provide the nurturing, dignified care we wanted for him - somewhere he would be seen as an individual, not just one of many residents. From the moment he arrived, every member of staff took the time to get to know Dad, as well as us. Little things, like knowing our names when we walked through the door, meant more than they could ever know during such an incredibly difficult time. Dad was treated with such dignity, respect and genuine warmth throughout his stay, particularly in his final days and hours, and even after he passed away. We cannot recommend Riverdale highly enough and will be forever grateful to every member of the team for the care they gave Dad and the support they gave to us.

My father has been at Burford for 6 months now and we have found the care to be outstanding. Staff are kind attentive and always go the extra mile to care for residents and their families. It really feels homely.

I arranged for my sister in law to be transfered to Burford House from another care home in the hope of being better looked after. I am very pleased to say that I am very satisfied with the quality of care she has received. I regret not having moved her much sooner! I am kept in constant touch with any issues she may have through the fantastic nurses and management.
