Staff are kind respectful and most of all residents are treated with dignity. The Quality of meals are hotel standard varies from week to week in choice of. It is a very clean care home and safe. Staff are always ready to listen and answer any questions you may have

I feel confident in leaving my sister in the care of Riverdale care home. My sister is in long term care and finds the staff caring and helpful. Staff are proactive in ensuring her comfort and wellbeing. The facilities are excellent, cleanliness is immaculate. Staff become involved with residents to ensure their involvement in activites. Staff are friendly and professional. This is by far the best carehome I have been in. The food and menu are of a high standard.

Just had a lovely time at our summer barbecue. The weather was beautiful, and outside in the garden adjacent to the river the setting was idyllic. The staff and residents and their family and friendly made for a wonderful day. The singer and music were suitable for all tastes. This was taken up by dancing and a jolly time even for the less mobile and infirm. It could not have gone better. Many thanks.

Words cannot express our gratitude to everyone at Riverdale for the kindness, compassion and care shown to my dad during his final days. Dad was only a resident for a short time after we realised he was no longer safe at home. After supporting and caring for him for the previous two years, my brother and I were understandably anxious about finding somewhere that would provide the nurturing, dignified care we wanted for him - somewhere he would be seen as an individual, not just one of many residents. From the moment he arrived, every member of staff took the time to get to know Dad, as well as us. Little things, like knowing our names when we walked through the door, meant more than they could ever know during such an incredibly difficult time. Dad was treated with such dignity, respect and genuine warmth throughout his stay, particularly in his final days and hours, and even after he passed away. We cannot recommend Riverdale highly enough and will be forever grateful to every member of the team for the care they gave Dad and the support they gave to us.

I am finding it difficult to put into words how grateful I am we chose Riverdale Care Home for our mother. She was part of the Riverdale family for two and a half years and for a nonagenarian she embraced all the activities and events Riverdale offered. All staff have an outstanding attitude and nothing is too much trouble. She sadly passed away last week bit the care and going the extra mile Mum and her family received at such a difficult time was again outstanding.

Mum has been at Riverdale Care Home since November 2023, during her stay she has received the most outstanding care, she was fully embraced into the Riverdale family as were her family and enjoyed all the activities, the food and the staff at all levels have been amazing. Sadly Mum passed away recently at Riverdale and the support, dignity and going the extra mile during this difficult time cannot be underestimated. On this review we cannot name names that would in itself be too difficult as there are too many staff to mention for their outstanding support. THANK YOU RIVERDALE.

Mum was a resident at Riverdale for just over a year, having been in two other care homes previously. The care and support provided to her was excellent. The staff were engaged and caring and always attentive to Mum's needs. I would have no hesitation in recommending Riverdale to other families.

The staff were always so friendly and helpful, looked after the residents with great care and consideration during my husband's stay with them.

On behalf of my brother and myself, I would like to say a huge thank you to all the wonderful staff who took good care of our mum. I would definitely recommend this home.

Our father was only at Riverdale for a little over a week, but the impact the staff made was heartfelt. During such a difficult time, he was treated with incredible dignity, care and compassion. As a family, we were met with nothing but respect and empathy. Though our father has passed away, we take great comfort knowing his final days were spent in the best possible care. We cannot thank the team enough.

All the staff were very friendly and welcoming in a quiet, calm environment. Nothing was too much trouble and all staff responded very quickly to all requests.

In all the time we have been visiting David the staff have always been so kind and helpful. Nothing has been too much trouble.

On the whole the home is very clean and tidy the staff are very good but, some of them need more training in what there do, and more understanding what you say to them.

On 1/12/2025 I had two friends visit me, the first thing that they mentioned was the quality and standard of the accommodation. They were very impressed by this. The fact that on arrival they were offered a cup of coffee served to reinforce that impression. The same can be said of my two sons who visit on a very regular basis.

Riverdale hosted a wonderful Christmas event with Reindeers, food, hot drinks, a singer, Santa and all friends and family of residents and workers were welcomed. Thank you for having us, it was a wonderful experience and so lovely to meet everyone. Riverdale really cares for it's residents and workers and provides great facilities.

My wife has now been at the care home for about 6 months and is fully settled in. I was invited to a Country and Western Musical, BBQ and ice cream event at the care home. Really not my scene, however, my wife is very musical. I went and was immediately impressed with the fantastic organisation that had obviously gone into the planning. The music, BBQ and the tattoo painting lady. The star for me was the maintenance man, normally rushing around with a screwdriver in his hand, fully dressed up as Woody from Toy Story. A really memorable day. I wish to thank everyone for the excellent planning for a most enjoyable day.

I would just like to say how very happy we are that my husbands mother is in Riverdale care home Braintree. From the minute you walk through the door you are met with a big smile and a hello. The staff and management are amazing, we are all on first name terms. The activities they have daily are very engaging. My dad is in there at the moment on respite, and he is really enjoying himself. You have plenty of choice when it comes to food. Your family member is looked after to a very high standard. The rooms have en suites, and if you need anything they are happy to oblige. I can not recommend this care home enough. When we took my mother in law for respite in the beginning, because she had just been diagnosed with double dementia we worried that she would be unsettled, but no, within a day or 2 she was ringing us up and saying that she wanted to stay and didn't want to go back home. Highly recommended, could write more but no space.
