Find the staff all very helpful. Premises clean and comfortable.
We're delighted to hear that you found our staff helpful and our premises clean and comfortable. Thank you for leaving a review.
I am finding it difficult to put into words how grateful I am we chose Riverdale Care Home for our mother. She was part of the Riverdale family for two and a half years and for a nonagenarian she embraced all the activities and events Riverdale offered. All staff have an outstanding attitude and nothing is too much trouble. She sadly passed away last week bit the care and going the extra mile Mum and her family received at such a difficult time was again outstanding.
It means so much to us that you chose Riverdale Care Home for your mother's care and that she became such a valued member of our Riverdale family over the past...
Mum has been at Riverdale Care Home since November 2023, during her stay she has received the most outstanding care, she was fully embraced into the Riverdale family as were her family and enjoyed all the activities, the food and the staff at all levels have been amazing. Sadly Mum passed away recently at Riverdale and the support, dignity and going the extra mile during this difficult time cannot be underestimated. On this review we cannot name names that would in itself be too difficult as there are too many staff to mention for their outstanding support. THANK YOU RIVERDALE.
It was our privilege to welcome Mum and...
A special thank you to Summer for the wonderful care and activities she organised, and to Lisa and Jeanette on reception who were always welcoming, compassionate and helpful.
Nan loved the food and always looked forward to the Tuesday hair appointments, which made her feel so much better in herself. Riverdale also made our whole family feel welcome, especially with the private lounge areas, afternoon teas and unlimited coffee during visits.
Although Nan sadly passed away in hospital, the compassion shown afterwards meant so much. The staff carefully packed her belongings for us and thoughtfully placed them in the library rather than us having to go straight into an empty bedroom, which we will never forget.
Thank you to everyone at Riverdale
It means a great deal to us to know that your grandmother felt so happy, comfortable and cared for during her time at Riverdale. Our aim is always to provide a warm, supportive environment where residents truly feel at home,...
Mum was a resident at Riverdale for just over a year, having been in two other care homes previously. The care and support provided to her was excellent. The staff were engaged and caring and always attentive to Mum's needs. I would have no hesitation in recommending Riverdale to other families.
We are delighted that our team's care, compassion and attentiveness made such a positive difference to both your Mum and your family....
The staff were always so friendly and helpful, looked after the residents with great care and consideration during my husband's stay with them.

On behalf of my brother and myself, I would like to say a huge thank you to all the wonderful staff who took good care of our mum. I would definitely recommend this home.

The staff are kind, helpful and care about the residents. The care home is bright and welcoming and spotlessly clean and tidy. The meals are restaurant-quality. I feel this care home goes above and beyond. Would definitely recommend.

Our team takes great pride in creating a warm, welcoming, and safe environment, so it's wonderful to know that the care, cleanliness, and atmosphere...
The care home is exemplary. It is by far the best care home I have visited. Primarily the staff have been amazing. They are always helpful and caring. Everybody is cheerful and will engage with residents and visitors. The building is always spotless and the grounds are manicured. The meal provision is comparable to a hotel. I find it reassuring that I have given the care of my sister and brother-in-law into the hands of Riverdale.
We are delighted to hear that your experience with our home has been so positive. Your comments about our team are especially appreciated - we are very proud of their dedication, compassion, and the genuine relationships they build with residents and visitors alike. It's wonderful to know that...
Our father was only at Riverdale for a little over a week, but the impact the staff made was heartfelt. During such a difficult time, he was treated with incredible dignity, care and compassion. As a family, we were met with nothing but respect and empathy. Though our father has passed away, we take great comfort knowing his final days were spent in the best possible care. We cannot thank the team enough.
We are deeply sorry for the loss of your father. It means a great deal to know that, during such a difficult time, our team at Riverdale was able to provide him with dignity, compassion and care, and to support your family...

On the whole the home is very clean and tidy the staff are very good but, some of them need more training in what there do, and more understanding what you say to them.

We also appreciate your honest comments regarding training and communication. Please be assured that we take this very seriously, and we are committed to providing ongoing...
Highest quality care and service. Thank you so very much for taking care of our wonderful Mum in the last few weeks of her life.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It was a privilege to care for your wonderful Mum, and we're deeply honoured to have supported her and your family during such a special and emotional time. Our thoughts are with you all, and we're grateful you trusted us with her care.
On 1/12/2025 I had two friends visit me, the first thing that they mentioned was the quality and standard of the accommodation. They were very impressed by this. The fact that on arrival they were offered a cup of coffee served to reinforce that impression. The same can be said of my two sons who visit on a very regular basis.
We're also glad to hear that your sons, who visit...
Riverdale hosted a wonderful Christmas event with Reindeers, food, hot drinks, a singer, Santa and all friends and family of residents and workers were welcomed. Thank you for having us, it was a wonderful experience and so lovely to meet everyone. Riverdale really cares for it's residents and workers and provides great facilities.
We're truly grateful for your kind words about our team and the care we provide....
My wife has now been at the care home for about 6 months and is fully settled in. I was invited to a Country and Western Musical, BBQ and ice cream event at the care home. Really not my scene, however, my wife is very musical. I went and was immediately impressed with the fantastic organisation that had obviously gone into the planning. The music, BBQ and the tattoo painting lady. The star for me was the maintenance man, normally rushing around with a screwdriver in his hand, fully dressed up as Woody from Toy Story. A really memorable day. I wish to thank everyone for the excellent planning for a most enjoyable day.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are so pleased your wife has settled in and that you both enjoyed the Country and Western BBQ. The team will be delighted to hear your kind words, especially about our very own Woody! We look forward to welcoming you to more events soon.
I would just like to say how very happy we are that my husbands mother is in Riverdale care home Braintree. From the minute you walk through the door you are met with a big smile and a hello. The staff and management are amazing, we are all on first name terms. The activities they have daily are very engaging. My dad is in there at the moment on respite, and he is really enjoying himself. You have plenty of choice when it comes to food. Your family member is looked after to a very high standard. The rooms have en suites, and if you need anything they are happy to oblige. I can not recommend this care home enough. When we took my mother in law for respite in the beginning, because she had just been diagnosed with double dementia we worried that she would be unsettled, but no, within a day or 2 she was ringing us up and saying that she wanted to stay and didn't want to go back home. Highly recommended, could write more but no space.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We're so happy to hear how well both your mother-in-law and father have settled in and that they're enjoying the care, activities and food. Your kind words about our staff, food, and facilities are very much appreciated, and we'll make sure to share them...
I had a very good experience and appreciate the quality service offered to residence and their visitors.
Thank you for your kind feedback. We're glad you had a positive experience and appreciate your support.
Very clean, comfortable, caring place. Good food.
Thank you for review. We're happy to hear you had a positive experience.
