I wish to thank the staff of Riverdale Care Home for the excellent care given to my brother-in-law during his days in their care. Nothing was too much trouble for them and the care that he was given was outstanding family and friends were made very aware of his welcome.
Thank you for your kind words! We're glad your brother-in-law received excellent care at Riverdale. Your feedback means a lot to us.
My sister has been in the care of Riverdale Care Home from September 2021 until her death in February 2024. Throughout this time, she received loving and safe care from dedicated staff and management. The home is up-to-date, bright, clean and welcoming and all needs are catered for, including activities, catering and hairdressing etc. Relatives quickly establish easy relationships with staff at all levels and as a consequence, can be assured that all residents are safely and well looked after.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such lovely words for the team at Riverdale, they appreciate your feedback. Deepest condolences to you on the loss of your sister. May your happy memories give you peace and comfort during this time.
The staff that I encountered at Riverdale were uniformly friendly, caring and very warm.
The medical care given to my mother was exemplary and it was clear that she felt that too. She ended her life there and again, it was allowed to take place with such dignity.
Thank you so much for doing what you do.
Our heartfelt condolences go to you and your family. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, the team at Riverdale appreciate your feedback at such difficult times and they will be pleased to hear that you felt the care was exemplary and dignified.
I want to and have got to say that this is the friendliest, happiest and most professional, caring organisation, and I cannot thank them enough.
Staffing levels are excellent.
Management are friendly approachable and genuinely care.
Every nurse and care worker seems so happy and the atmosphere here is the best I have seen in all the care homes we visited.
From my father, Mum, other family members and myself thank you so much and thank you for striving achieving and repeating excellence.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review our home and for the wonderful comments for the team at Riverdale. We are delighted you appreciate our caring management and staff. The team are committed to ensure all our residents live happy, contented lives whilst in their care.
Before Xmas there were 2 days when all residents capable with carers and manager were taken to the local garden centre which had a large Christmas display. First of all, we all had tea and cake when we arrived. We spent time walking around the Xmas wonderland which was really spectacular because it gave me time to buy cards or presents as I wished and have a laugh, which lifted my spirits.
Thank you for your positive feedback. We are delighted to hear that you had a great experience at the local garden centre and that you are enjoying living at Riverdale.
My mother was a resident at Riverdale for nearly four years and sadly passed away in December 2023. The professional and compassionate approach shown from the staff when it became clear that she urgently needed to be admitted to hospital was exemplary. They treated my mother not only with concern but also with great dignity and always found the time, in very stressful circumstances, to keep me fully updated with her condition and how they felt it should be managed. During my mother's time at Riverdale, the staff showed her such love and warmth and seemed to innately understand what was needed for her. I am truly very grateful for the support and kindness she was shown and would not hesitate to recommend Riverdale to anyone looking for a top-class care home.
We are deeply sorry for your loss and hope that you find comfort in the fact that your mother was treated with kindness and compassion during her stay at Riverdale. Thank you for taking the time to leave a positive review; the team at Riverdale values and appreciates your kind words.
My mother-in-law has been very happy since she moved to Riverdale, and on arrival, all the staff worked hard to settle her in and took the time to get to know her. As her needs increased from being reasonably able and independent to being dependent on nursing care, the home has seamlessly managed this transition to the highest standard. The home is very well-led, and all the staff are caring, compassionate, motivated and enthusiastic. The activities, food, celebrations and general day-to-day life at Riverdale make it a lovely place for residents and visitors. The personal attention that my mother-in-law has received has given her family the reassurance that it was the right decision for her to become a resident and I would not hesitate to recommend Riverdale.
Thank you for such a wonderful review, the team at Riverdale are grateful for all the amazing feedback. They are very proud of the service they provide and treat everyone that enters their home like family. We are happy to hear that this is the right decision for your mother-in-law.
Always available with cups of tea and hugs.
Lots of varied activities and pet rabbits are always a delight to visit.
Firstly, please accept our condolences for your loss. The team at Riverdale are very grateful you have taken the time to leave a review - thank you.
My mum has been a resident of Riverdale Care Home for eight months. I have found her care to be outstanding. She has thrived in those months and speaks highly of the carers. There are so many varied activities which she really enjoys, especially the art classes. Friends and families are welcomed to the many events and I have felt very emotional seeing the kindness and compassion shown to all who live there.
Thank you for your wonderful comments, the team at Riverdale are proud to welcome friends and families to visit at any time and always treat others with the greatest respect.
A big thank you to the member of staff who accompanied Dad and me for Dad’s minor operation on 11 December. It was a very long day for the three of us but she remained cheerful and very attentive to Dad despite the long wait for Dad to be seen. I will always be very grateful for her help and support yet again, as she has already accompanied us to a previous hospital appointment for Dad in October.
Thank you for your wonderful comment, the team at Riverdale are always on hand to help in any way possible and we are pleased to be able to provide you with any support required.
Riverdale has been a fabulous respite experience. From my initial enquiry, through the whole stay has been handled in a professional but friendly manner. The staff looking after my mum has been so kind. Riverdale is immaculately maintained and offers many activities, including a cinema room and a family dining room, which we used to celebrate a birthday. The only criticism Mum had is she would have liked more variety of vegetables, especially broccoli!
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. We have passed on your comments to the home manager regarding food variety. We always welcome constructive feedback, as this allows us to enhance our services. Thank you.
I had visited a friend here when it first opened so knew it was a good place. So when it came time for me to need more care, I decided to come here. I am being looked after very well and the staff are kind and considerate. The meals are good (especially the desserts) and there is always a choice, if you don't like either of them, the cooks are willing to make something else. I would certainly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a care home, either for themself or their relative.
Thank you for choosing Riverdale Care Home and for taking the time to leave such a positive review. The team will be very pleased to learn that you feel very well looked after and that the staff are kind and considerate. Thank you for choosing Westgate Healthcare.
Very kind and caring staff if I need assistance they're always happy to help. Always very cheerful too with lovely smiles. Early on needed help getting into bed and they always obliged. Food has been good but not always to my taste but very difficult catering for so many people. Lovely being able to have hair done and nails as well. Made me feel better, also feet. Have enjoyed the coffee mornings and the painting. Good all round, and sitting outside when sunny and watching the rabbits.
Thank you for this wonderful 5 star review! We really appreciate you taking the time to write such a lovely, positive review. We have passed your kind words onto the amazing team at Riverdale Care Home. Thank you.
As soon as you walk into the home, it's like "home from home". You can feel the love everywhere you go. All the staff are compassionate, kind, caring and professional. They care for their resident's well-being as well as their medical needs. They have numerous events organised, a couple of which I have attended. It's very uplifting for residents, and I felt uplifted too. They always make you feel welcome, asking if you want a drink. It's just like one big happy family.
Thank you for your heartwarming review; the team at Riverdale appreciate all your wonderful comments. They work together as a team and take great pride in treating everyone who resides and visits Riverdale as part of their family.
Riverdale Care Home is a lovely place to reside, but most importantly, the staff are dedicated, loving, polite and compassionate. They study the residents and treated them as family. I cannot thank them all enough for taking care of my mum.
Thank you so much for your wonderful comments; the team at Riverdale appreciate your amazing feedback.
When visiting the care home, the service was outstanding. All staff members greeted me in a very friendly and caring manner. The stories of what events take place make me wish I was older and in this care home. There are a huge range of facilities available for everyone. The person I was visiting couldn’t stop bragging about the friends she had made and all the fun activities they do. She especially enjoys going to the cinema. The team go over and above to make everybody happy. What more could anyone ask for? Thank you to everyone’s hard-work and effort. It is truly appreciated.
This is such a wonderful, five-star review to read! Thank you so much for your generous, kind words. The talented team at Riverdale Care Home work so hard to ensure residents feel comfortable and safe at home. Residents particularly enjoy the charming cinema room. We are so pleased that you feel the service is outstanding, thank you once again.
This care home should not be 'good', this care home should be the highest there can be.
Events too are so good and all staff take part to make it the best for the residents. Thanks to Riverdale.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a warm and meaningful 5 star review! These kind words will mean so much to the hard-working team at Riverdale Care Home. We are so pleased to hear that every aspect of your nan's care was great. Thank you, again.
They have a huge range of activities, daily and weekly. There’s always someone looking after my nan, physically, socially and emotionally, for example, I recently took my nan out for lunch and had to bring her back as she was feeling poorly, the staff checked her over, sat and talked to her and made her feel better!
The manager is always there to listen and help, having a door-open policy, very caring and also very professional, leading by example.
Staff are always going to that extra length to make sure residents feel cared for, listening to them and adapting timetables to suit their needs/desires. I am so happy she is here, she genuinely has been given another lease of life!
On behalf of the team at Riverdale, thank you so much for your generously kind comments. We are so pleased to hear that your nan's physical, social and emotional needs are being met. We are very proud of the team and services provided by Riverdale Care Home and glad that you feel happy Nan is here with us. Thank you once again.
Everyone there cares about the residents, knows them as individuals and looks after them really well.
It’s meant that we can relax and know that Mum is being looked after by caring professionals.
We really appreciate this wonderful 5 star review! The Home Manager and amazing team at Riverdale will be so pleased to hear that you are happy with the care mum is receiving. Thank you very much.
I couldn't have wished for a better home for my mother to spend the last months of her life. The staff were outstanding, treating her like one of their own family. The rooms were like homes from home and the food just like a five star restaurant! The care and detail to all was outstanding.
Thank you for leaving a heartwarming review, we are sorry for your loss and our thoughts are always with you. The Riverdale team will be pleased to hear that you couldn't have wished for a better home for your mother.
