A beautiful home full of beautiful staff. We were so upset when we knew Dad needed nursing care, but the team at Riverdale knew exactly what to do and say to make things as happy as possible. It feels like a second home for us all, despite our short stay. The staff gave Dad his dignity back and we can't thank them enough. The home is in a lovely location with beautiful gardens and the decor is classy and homely. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Couldn't recommend enough.
We're truly moved by your message and honoured that you chose Riverdale to care for your dad during such an important time.We understand how emotional and difficult the transition to nursing care can be, and it means everything to us that our team was able to provide comfort, reassurance, and...
My mum was transferred from hospital to Riverdale for end of life care. The staff were amazing from the receptionists, nursing staff and cleaners. Everyone was polite, helpful and caring. My mum received excellent care, and passed away, pain free and with dignity. My heartfelt thank you, to you all. I will never forget your kindness.

A party was organised for my mum's 93rd birthday. The party was really amazing and was enjoyed by us all, a great effort was made by the staff on this occasion and when I go to visit my mum as well, they are very kind and caring. Staff go above and beyond.

One issue I have had is that my Dad's clothes often go missing and as tumble dried often shrink so have to be replaced.
Thank you for your kind words about the care and activities. We're sorry to hear about the issue with his clothing and will work to resolve this. Your feedback is much appreciated!
I have visited Riverdale a number of times and each time I have been impressed by the quality of care, patience, and understanding of all staff. Their demeanour is always one of cheeriness and nothing is too much trouble for any staff member. At very short notice their arrangements for a Family Christmas Day had to be changed because of inclement weather. But, you would never have known it! Well done to everyone for a wonderful afternoon.

We are thrilled to hear that you've consistently been impressed with the quality of care and dedication from our team. Your recognition of our staff's cheerfulness and commitment means the world to...
Over the last few weeks, I have witnessed and experienced an overwhelming lift in the staff's morale in and around Riverdale. I believe this is due to new management who displays a real presence around the home. The home feels a much happier place to be. Staff are much more motivated. Overall standards in both care and support have clearly risen along with activities, cleanliness, and overall appearance. I feel very lucky to have my Mum as a resident at Riverdale. When I leave after a visit I feel she is safe and well cared for.
She is well cared for and always looks smart. There are high standards of cleanliness in the rooms and the toilet!
The security is good and over we have been impressed with the high standard.
We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us. Your feedback is invaluable, and we're so grateful for the opportunity to learn from it and keep improving.

Thank you for your kind words, the team at Riverdale appreciate your feedback. We are pleased to hear that the care given and welcome made helped your Mum recuperate.
The home is bright and airy with lots of going on and everyone was included. Thank you all the staff for everything.
Our condolences for your loss, our thoughts are with you. The team at Riverdale appreciate your kind comments and time taken to leave a review.
My mother's end-of-life care was outstanding. My family and I spent a week at Mum's bedside and the home not only looked after Mum extremely well, but all the staff ensured that my family and I were also taken care of. They were respectful and caring to us all right to the very end. Mum was in the best hands - everything was thought of, including putting a rose on her bed after Mum had been removed to the funeral directors. The staff gave us plenty of time to pack up Mum's possessions and offered help with absolutely everything. As sad as it was that we lost our mother, it was a blessed release for her to go, and she wasn't on her own at the time of passing. I cannot recommend Riverdale Care Home in Braintree enough. Not only is it a lovely place to be, but we all had peace of mind that Mum really did have the best care throughout her stay there. All the staff, from the top to the bottom were fantastic. Thank you very much to everyone at Riverdale.
Our thoughts are with you at this time, condolences for your loss. The team at Riverdale Care Home greatly appreciate your heart-warming comments and want to express their heartfelt gratitude for taking the time to leave a review. My Mother-in-law had not been treated well in the London hospital. When I arrived to see her on the day of admission she was smiling for the first time in weeks. The staff were so gentle with her at all times. We could come and go as we pleased and there was always the offer of a cup of tea/coffee or just generally checking in with us. On the day that my Mother-in-law died, it was so peaceful and calm. The staff were there if we needed them but not intrusive.
Thank you so much for your heartfelt review. We are honoured to have been entrusted with the care of your mother-in-law during such a sensitive time. Knowing that our team could provide the compassion, care, and kindness that brought a smile to her face after weeks is truly touching.
As a family, we will never forget Riverdale & it’s professional caring staff you are a credit to your profession.
Thank you.
Thank you for taking the time to leave this heart-warming review, the team at Riverdale appreciate all your wonderful comments and is thinking of you at this time.
I would highly recommend this care home, absolutely fantastic care beautiful place and such a caring and friendly atmosphere and staff I could have not wished for better care for my brother in his last few months before he died peacefully.
We're deeply grateful for your heartfelt recommendation. It's truly humbling to know that we could provide exceptional care to your brother during his final months. Please accept our sincerest condolences for your loss.
