My father was in Riverdale for approximately ten days after spending two months in another home. My family and I have nothing but praise for all the staff. They treated my father with dignity, respect and kindness and made his final days as comfortable as possible. The facilities in the home were amazing and we were very sorry my father was too poorly to enjoy them! He would have loved nothing more than a beer in the little bar area! Thank you for making a difficult journey more bearable, your empathy was very much appreciated!
Thank you so much for your kind words regarding the team at Riverdale. The team take great pride in treating everyone like family and we are pleased to hear you thought your father was treated with dignity, respect and kindness. We are sorry for your loss and our thoughts are always with you.
The staff are amazing and very friendly and caring. You can go to them for any questions and support and they will be more than happy to help. Since my nan arrived at Riverdale she is thriving eating more drinking more and her conversations are better. The care home is very clean always different activities for the residents and generally a great family vibe between staff, patients and family members. Highly recommend Riverdale Care Home. Thank you for everything you do!
Thank you for your kind words, our team work very hard to make our residents and families feel welcome and part of the family at Riverdale. We are so glad to hear you are happy with the care your nan is receiving and are always on hand to support you all.
All of the staff including the office staff and carers go above and beyond and you can't fault any of them and they make all the relatives feel welcome.
Thank you for your wonderful feedback regarding the team at Riverdale, they will appreciate your kind comments.
The care and thought delivered to my mum are wonderful to see. The team have a genuine and transparent desire to care and support the residents in their care. They show amazing patience, diligence and warmth in their dealings. Excellent.
Thank you so much for your very kind review, your feedback means a lot to our team and we wish you and your loved ones the best.
Amazing staff, clean, friendly and caring, such peace of mind knowing my mum-in-law is being cared for and treated with kindness and respect. Introduced to the staff and even the manager introduced herself to us and, even though my mum-in-law has dementia, she is treated and cared for to the highest standard. Total peace of mind, so happy.
Thank you for your kind words, our team work very hard to make our residents and families feel welcome and part of the family at Riverdale. We are so glad to hear you are happy with the care your mum-in-law is receiving and are always on hand to support you all.
The food is of good quality and well-presented. Having worked in care, I am very impressed overall with all aspects, laundry and housekeeping are very good being fast and well done.
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us this kind review. Our team really value your feedback and are pleased to hear that you are impressed with all aspects of the facilities and services at the care home.
Except when health conditions are a problem, the home is an open house and provides the 24-hour care and safety that I was unable to do.
We are so incredibly honoured to receive your heartfelt review. Our team are dedicated and passionate about the care and service they provide residents and their families. We are truly appreciative of your feedback; thank you.
Mum was understandably apprehensive but within weeks of moving to Riverdale in April 2022, I could see she was happy and she was full of praise for the care she was getting. The rooms are spotless and all the staff are amazing. I live within walking distance of Riverdale so I am able to visit often. Sometimes I arrive to find Mum with the hairdresser or partaking in an activity, something I never thought would happen. Mum and several of the other residents particularly enjoyed the recent trip to the garden centre to see the Christmas lights. I cannot praise the home, management or staff enough.
Thank you for your heart-warming review, the team at Riverdale work hard to make residents as comfortable as possible. It is great to hear that Mum is settled, happy and enjoys the activities and trips with other residents. Wishing you a lovely Christmas.
I have nothing but praise for the amazing, caring and loving staff. My uncle is at times very challenging but with the care and support of all the staff, he remains safe and loved.
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us this kind review. Our team really value your feedback and we are always here to support you with whatever you may need.
It took a while for mum to adapt and there were a few tears from me, but fast forward three months, and my dear old mum has her old sparkle back.
She looks so much healthier and happier and her days are structured and interesting - rather than just sitting in a chair gazing at the same TV channel which she did at home.
She has a better social life than I do. The home is visually beautiful and spotlessly clean, and the staff are absolutely superb., treating the residents with dignity and compassion. To see my 'prickly' mother, laughing, hugging staff and holding hands with them is lovely to see., and is a testament to how at home she feels. We, as relatives feel welcomed at all times. This in turn has made myself and my family more relaxed and not so worried and 'uptight' about mum's condition. I wish I had done this earlier!
Had my husband transferred from another home to Riverdale and from the very beginning was made to feel pleased. As all the staff made me feel welcome and most importantly my husband's needs would be addressed, which over the two weeks he has been living at the home he has improved all round.
Wonderful to receive your feedback about your experience transferring to our home. It's a pleasure looking after your husband, and we wish you and your family the very best.
We recommend Riverdale 100% to anyone seeking care for their family members.
Thank you so much for your very kind review. Your recommendation and feedback mean a lot to our team, and we wish you and your loved ones the best.
Excellent management at all levels gives the family confidence.
Excellence is reflected in every member of staff across the board.
Thank you for your lovely review! We are humbled by your kind words, and our staff will appreciate them. We're also glad to know that aunty is enjoying her time with us. We wish you and your family the best.
My dear friend was 99 years of age when she finally accepted she had to go into a care home. She could not have chosen a better place to spend her last three weeks of life. Everyone without exception was treated here with such kindness. They were gentle with her and made every effort to engage with her living there. She finally slipped away quietly with pristine pillows making her comfortable. I can't thank them enough for their kindness and attention. I only wish my friend had decided earlier to live in Riverdale.
Our sincerest apologies for your loss. We appreciate your kind-hearted review, it has warmed our hearts, and I can speak for the team when I say it was an honour. Thank you.
During this time the staff became the second family to our loved one and as well to the family. We could not ask for anything better for our loved one during this time, we felt everyone knew us and we knew everyone here, we felt it was a real close connection with all staff.
There were some ups and downs as well but generally, the level of care has been exceptional.
We always had tea and biscuits. We loved our garden visits and activities.
We were always informed about anything, it was very good communication. Staff went the extra mile to ensure that our loved one was as safe as physically possible. We need to thank everyone for all the help in achieving CHC funding, without their help our application would never been successful.
Staff could not have been more kind and helpful, even providing us with a memory book of our loved one here after passing away.
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us this kind review. Our team really value your feedback and we are always here to support you with whatever you may need. Best wishes.
The situation was extremely stressful for me but this was alleviated by the way the staff dealt with the whole situation and the consideration shown towards me. Their confidence, positivity, warmth and professionalism was reassuring. I would have no hesitation recommending Riverdale to anyone considering this type of care.
Dear Sue, thank you for your kind words, our staff work very hard to make our residents comfortable. As a company, we try to be as responsive as we can in these situations and were delighted that we were able to help Mum and you to provide that interim care required to build her back up. I hope she has settled at home, if you ever require our help again please do not hesitate to call. Lesley
Just had our first face to face visit, it was wonderful and made the visit a very positive experience for my aunt. Thank you to all the staff at Riverdale who care for her!
Dear Julie, many thanks for your review, it really was a pleasure to host your aunt's 100th birthday party and so pleased you got to see her in person on the day, it was truly memorable for everyone. Here's to many happy returns of the day.
I found from the initial enquiry, the process of admitting my father was made as smooth as possible. He was in a bad way health-wise and I can only say the level of care and standard of service was superb.
Alan, it was a privilege to have been able to help you and respond to the emergency situation you and your father were in and to take care of him at Riverdale, he was a lovely gentleman and we were all very fond of him. We wish you and the family all the best.
Dad has been in Riverdale since October 2019. He took a few weeks to settle in, but the whole team did an amazing job to make the transition uneventful. In the last 12 months, he has willingly got involved in the many activities that the Riverdale activities team arrange for both the sound-minded residents and dementia patients. I am in aware of the number and range of activities arranged for everyone. I believe that this mental stimulation has been a key factor in Dad coping with the lack of normal contact through this pandemic. It is fantastic that these are then recorded on Facebook for all relatives to view. This has been critical for residents relatives (like me) to cope with the lack of direct contact we can have with our loved ones. The whole team have worked hard and selflessly to ensure everyone is kept safe but happy. Thank you, everyone, at Riverdale, you all deserve a medal.
Thank you for your kind words, we shall certainly make sure the staff see your feedback to them; it will give them a great boost to know how much they are appreciated by you and our other family members and it has been both a pleasure and a privilege to have dad living here with us at Riverdale.
Our experience has benefited from the role of the transition coordinator. It has enabled frequent, honest communication which has been reassuring. It is clear our needs are considered alongside Mum's and that she is there to support us as well at a very traumatic time. Knowing you can speak to someone, without judgement, who is concerned about our wellbeing as well is very comforting. This has been one of the hardest things I have done in my life. She has made it less scary and been invaluable for our family.
