I had a wonderful time, I treated it as a holiday as my best friend of 60 years resides there.

It's a pity there was no ensuite bathroom, that would have made it perfect!

My Husband was placed in the Kingfisher Nursing Home, from Hospital in need of nursing care, which, sadly, became End of Life Care. The Home had not been chosen by me, but had we done so we could not have chosen a better place for him to be. The whole staff and people associated with the care at the Home could not have been more caring, compassionate, kind and professional, from the Manager, Emilia, through all who work at the Home. My family and I were impressed by the compassionate ethos of the home, from the moment they welcomed my Husband into their care. My Husband was always afraid of losing his dignity in care, but at the Kingfisher, treating him with respect and preserving his dignity as a human being was a priority for all who came into contact with him. Whatever his needs were, and whether or not he was fully aware of what was happening to him, he was always addressed by all staff with respect and courtesy, which meant a great deal to him and to us.

All the family were extremely grateful for the level of care given to my Father-in-law as he reached the end of his life. The whole team were kind and courteous and also very professional. He was extremely well cared for to the best of the staffs' ability. They were also very attentive to the family and did all they could to comfort us at this difficult time, with an endless supply of tea and bisuits.

My mum had been in the Kingfisher for almost 6 years; sadly she died yesterday. Staying with her for nearly 4 days I am in awe of all the staff do. They never ceased to chat to my mum and show their affection; the staff in all departments care for the residents. No words are adequate for what they have done for my mum over the years; as she deteriorated they somehow kept her happy. She never wanted to give up. Watching the hairdresser yesterday working on 3 ladies was a delight. It was the first home I visited and immediately knew it would suit my mum.Having got to know me and my husband they all looked after us as well in these last few days. Their compassion will never be forgotten.

I cannot speak highly enough about the excellent facilities and the wonderful way in which the dedicated staff carry out their daily tasks. Providing care for many of the residents is a most demanding task, and I know that my brother benefits considerably from this and from the regular entertainment activities on offer. Well done, Kingfisher staff. Keep up your good work.

My sister was at Kingfisher, sadly only for a couple of weeks. During that time, the staff were very caring, patient, understanding and knowledgeable. Dealing with any pain and discomfort quickly to make her as comfortable as possible. This same high level of care and kindness from each and every member of staff, was extended to all my sister’s family on our daily visits.

Thank you all so much, we were lucky to find you at our time of need. A home with genuine quality care!
