My mother came to Kingfisher during Covid-19. I was very worried about her but I am now very happy that she is getting all the care that she needs and she seems very happy.

I can not praise this Nursing Home highly enough. Sadly, my Dad had to go into a Nursing Home following a stroke and suffering from dementia. It was hard for us as a family and worrying when this happened, but we need not have done. The staff looked after our Dad as well as we would have liked to look
after him ourself. Nothing was too much trouble, they gave him everything we asked for and encouraged him to join in with activities and chat to other residents. The team is lead by an excellent manager who is not afraid to get get her hands dirty if and when it is necessary. There is a lot of respect amongst the staff and the residents and everyone is encouraged to be one big happy family. They are all very caring people and this reflects on it feeling very homely and comfortable. It is extremely clean and the food is of excellent quality. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Kingfisher to anyone and can not thank and praise the staff enough for what they did for our Dad.

Mum didn't want to go into a nursing home but our GP and hospice nurse referred her for "fast track" care as she needed physical and palliative nursing. All staff were marvellous, nurses and carers, to admin, catering and washing/cleaning people. It was faultless, if I had a problem whoever I asked
would sort it, or find someone to help. Her comfort was thought of and pain managed hourly day and night. Finding it hard to eat/swallow her favourite foods were pureed, including prunes which she declared were lovely. Mum's last smile on Valentine's Day came when staff sang "We just called to say we love you", accompanied by music, with pretty cakes and strawberries. Mum really beamed a smile. The home is so well run, I cannot thank them enough for mum's care up to her passing.

It was a very emotional and daunting experience for us as a family to be told that our 88-year-old father had very complex medical needs as well as advanced dementia and would need to move into a nursing home.
The only thing we knew was that our dad needed the best care available and this we found
to be at the Kingfisher. Indeed this nursing home which already had outstanding scores exceeds way beyond our wildest expectations and from the moment Dad moved in we could immediately see how comfortable he felt in his new surroundings. This was home.
The manager and her team are amazing caring people and made us all feel as if we were part of the Kingfisher family, nothing is too much for them and they have taken all our worries away.
Dad is so happy in his room, the entire complex is excellent, clean, tidy, bright and airy with lots of activities to do and fantastic food.
It's so wonderful to know that our dad is safe and being looked after by such a brilliant team.

I was always sceptical of putting my mum in a nursing home, but I have to say, this home was amazing. I cannot thank the people who work here enough. Everybody made my mum's time here so very special. She loved being here and got to know all the staff. I will miss coming here. The people that work here
are an absolute credit to this beautiful home.

As a family, we did not want to put mum into a nursing home but with certain circumstances, we had no choice. For the first few days, it was hard for us all. Mum has settled in amazingly. The manager and every one of her staff go above and beyond anything for the residents. The food is absolutely fantastic
and fresh every day.
This nursing home is very unique with kind, friendly, genuine and honest people.

From the first day my mum came into the home, the staff were super friendly and caring. Nothing was too much trouble, even for the visitors and for my mum. The staff always listened to her and made her feel comfortable. They were attentive, caring and always there. We could not have wished for a better
place for my mum, communication was always ongoing and gave the family enormous peace of mind.

Very happy and satisfied with the home. Family has peace of mind that he's been looked after properly. My husband is so happy here. The manager is very good, explains everything and she is a lady of her word. The best person for the job. I would highly recommend Kingfisher Nursing Home.

The staff at Kingfisher are amazing. All doing their best to make grandad comfortable in his last days, and also offering help after he passed away. They give great advice and are so approachable and willing to help and advise you in what can be a very emotional and confusing time. The rooms and all
of the home are very clean and the meals are good also. Many thanks to the manager and the whole team for making Grandad's stay comfortable and for supporting us through a difficult time.

On behalf of the resident, we find the home to be clean, welcoming and friendly. Management is helpful and attentive - listen to concerns and take on feedback. Food is good, however, there should be more variety for dinner as it is mostly always soup.
Points for improvement are; greater attention of
healthcare assistants/nurses to ensuring the resident is wearing their own personal clothing, stocking wardrobes well and handing this over to the next carer, so that quality of care is maintained.
Also, updates to care plans should be visible on friendly posters, as it goes unnoticed in the book.

My partner has been in the Kingfisher Nursing Home for just over a month. He has settled in well and is happy. The care, facilities, food and staff are all excellent. Every effort is made to ensure that he is comfortable and well looked after. Family and friends who visit are made to feel welcome. The
atmosphere reflects the Kingfisher Nursing home as being a big, caring, happy family.

My cousin has been a resident at Kingfisher Nursing Home for the last 3 and a half years. When she first arrived, there had been a constant turnover of managers and staff, which did not make for good morale or management. Also, the décor etc was very tired and depressing. However, along comes the present
manager, who has turned Kingfisher completely around. Along with her loyal, caring staff and a makeover of the rooms etc, as I write this, my cousin has passed away but she has been very well cared for and with great dignity during her time living here.

Walking in without any warning, the warm welcome I received from a member of staff and gave me a feeling of caring and kindness given to residents/patients. If it were possible, this would be the nursing home for my beloved sick husband - to my great delight and joy he has now been accepted.
