Today, Carlton Court Care Home held a powerful and collaborative Road to Outstanding meeting, bringing together all Heads of Department alongside members of our care team and nursing staff. This united approach reflects our shared commitment to delivering exceptional, person-centred care for every resident.
During the session, we reviewed key CQC quality standards and explored how every department — from care and nursing to hospitality, maintenance, wellbeing, and management — plays a vital role in shaping each resident’s daily experience. The focus was not just on compliance, but on how we can continually improve the way residents feel, live, and thrive at Carlton Court.
Discussions centred on enhancing dignity, communication, responsiveness, and consistency of care, as well as ensuring that every resident is known, valued, and supported as an individual. By involving both leadership and frontline colleagues, we strengthened our shared understanding of what Outstanding truly means — not just in inspections, but in everyday practice.
These regular quality-focused meetings help ensure that Carlton Court remains proactive, reflective, and always striving to raise standards, so residents and families can continue to place their trust in us with confidence.
