At the Heart of Our Home: Meet the Manager of Haddenham Park

As someone who has spent over 30 years working in health and social care, I can proudly say that it has been more than just a career for me, it has been a passion. I started out on the front line of care, supporting people day to day, and those early experiences shaped the way I work and lead. They taught me that what matters most is kindness, patience, and truly seeing each person as an individual. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting people with a wide range of needs, including dementia, mental health conditions, and complex care. No matter the setting, my focus has always been on creating an environment where people feel safe, respected, and genuinely cared for. One of the achievements I’m most proud of is helping a nursing home achieve Outstanding across all five CQC domains for 6 years, but for me, the real success was the warm, trusting, family-like atmosphere we created together. I’m a very present and hands-on leader. You’ll usually find me chatting with residents, catching up with families, or working alongside the team. Building real relationships is important to me. I want people to feel listened to, understood, and supported whether they are living in our care, visiting a loved one, or working alongside us. This is one of the reasons I’m excited to work for Majesticare. Their values and warmth, going above and beyond align so closely with my own. It’s important to me to work within a company that truly puts people first, and I feel Majesticare culture reflects the compassionate, resident-led approach I believe in, and I’m passionate about making sure people and their families have a real voice in their care. Above all, I believe in compassion, connection, and doing what’s right. My goal is always to create a place where people feel at home, supported, and valued and where families can feel confident that their loved one is in safe and caring hands.
