Grace Court care home, part of the Sanders Senior Living Group, recently opened its doors to the local community for a delightful Cheese and Wine Afternoon Open Day, welcoming residents, their relatives, and community guests for an afternoon of flavour, music, and connection.
Held on 19 January 2026, the event featured two generously filled cheeseboards, including a specially curated British-only cheeseboard, alongside crackers, chutneys, and a selection of red, white, and rosé wines. Guests were treated to a warm and inviting atmosphere, enhanced by live entertainment from Motown singer Jack Martin, who added energy and soul to the celebration.
The afternoon brought together guests from the local community, residents and their families, members of the Grace Court team, and visiting performers, creating a vibrant and inclusive social event. It offered a valuable opportunity for Grace Court to connect with the wider community, welcome those enquiring about care for their loved ones, and showcase the home’s warm environment, high standards of care, and strong sense of community.
William, Customer Relations Manager at Grace court commented that “It was so lovely to see the local community interact with the home in the way it did, and I couldn’t be prouder of everyone here at Grace Court. We are so grateful for our relatives and residents, as well as every member of staff in this outstanding home.”
Events like this play an important role in strengthening relationships, building trust, and creating meaningful experiences for residents and their families, while also opening Grace Court’s doors to the local community in a welcoming and engaging way.
