In a heartwarming act of generosity, Cakes4Kindness recently received 35 delicious cakes from the iconic Fitzbillies Bakery. The cakes were delivered to local charities supporting people experiencing homelessness, including Emmaus, Jimmy’s Shelter, and other community organisations.
The initiative aims to bring a little sweetness and joy to those facing difficult times, while also shining a light on the tireless work of organisations that provide shelter, care, and hope to vulnerable members of the community.
Volunteers from Cakes4Kindness coordinated the deliveries, ensuring that each charity received a portion of the cakes to share with their residents and service users. Recipients were delighted not only by the treats themselves but also by the spirit of kindness behind the gesture.
Aga Clark, BDM in TLC Care Homes in Cambridge said, “We’re so grateful to Fitzbillies for their generosity. These cakes are more than just food—they’re a reminder to everyone that kindness, community, and care can make a real difference in people’s lives.”
This partnership between Cakes4Kindness and Fitzbillies Bakery highlights how local businesses and community initiatives can come together to support those most in need, spreading joy one cake at a time.
