Residents from Woodbury Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, recently enjoyed a truly special morning out at the Memory Café hosted by King Edward Road Community Centre, creating a memorable experience filled with connection, laughter, and shared memories.
The visit offered a wonderful opportunity for residents to engage with members of the local community while taking part in a variety of enjoyable activities, including quizzes, games, music, and dancing. A particularly meaningful highlight of the morning was time spent at the Gentleman’s Shed, where residents fondly reminisced about their DIY skills, shared stories from years gone by, and connected over past experiences.
Residents also enjoyed refreshments and relaxed conversation, making the visit both social and comforting. The atmosphere throughout the morning was warm, welcoming, and full of joy.
The trip proved to be an important and valuable experience, helping to spark memories, encourage social interaction, and strengthen community connections, while creating meaningful moments for everyone involved.
Woodbury Court remains committed to providing enriching experiences that support wellbeing, inclusion, and a strong sense of belonging for all residents, both within the home and out in the wider community.
