The Cedars Care Home Enjoy A Live Music Performance

Residents and guests at The Cedars care home in Bourne enjoyed a live music performance that took place at the home. Local singer Jeremy performed a selection of classic hits including ‘The Story of My Life’, ‘You Are My Sunshine’ and ‘Magic Moments’ to a full room- there was standing space only!

Residents joined in with the singing, and clapped along as the band performed their finale song ‘Happiness’, and the smiles reflected the song perfectly. Dorothy requested Jim Reeves, and was treated to not one but two of his most popular tunes; and Dr McGregor was very happy singing along to one of his favourites- ‘True Love’.

Senior General Manager, Rebecca Aldred said, “Our residents and guests had a wonderful day singing along with Jeremy, who we were so happy to welcome back to the home. We do our best to provide a wide range of activities and entertainment at The Cedars as part of the lifestyle enrichment programme for residents, and music is so popular we have live entertainments every month!”

One resident said “I haven’t heard some of these songs in many years. The classics never go out of style!” Doreen added ‘he’s absolutely marvellous- I really enjoyed the afternoon’.
