Residents, staff and family members at Augustus Court Care Home in Garforth, Leeds, West Yorkshire, came together to celebrate Valentine’s Day with a lively party filled with music, refreshments and laughter.
The event focused on love and relationships, with residents from both floors of the home attending alongside visiting family members. Entertainment was provided by popular performers Kim and Dave, who sang a selection of songs spanning the decades, including classic love songs that had residents singing along.
Guests enjoyed a range of light snacks, including buns, cakes and flapjacks, accompanied by refreshments such as shandy, lemonade and flavoured water. Following the musical performance, residents took part in a fun raffle, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Kelsey Atkinson, Wellbeing Coordinator at Augustus Court, said: “We’ve all had a lovely day, both staff and residents. It was wonderful to see everyone together enjoying the music and celebrating Valentine’s Day.”
