Woodstock Care Home residents travel to France on virtual cruise

We set sail on our Nellsar Cruise to France on Thursday 5 January, kicking off the fun with a creative arts and crafts session here at Woodstock Care Home. Our residents carefully scrunched red and blue tissue paper into small balls and glued them onto paper to create eye-catching French flags.

We played French music in the background as everyone crafted, helping to set the scene and create a relaxed, cheerful atmosphere.

Arriving in Paris on our cruise, we immersed ourselves in the flavours of France, enjoying the mouth-watering aroma of freshly baked croissants and crepes, sampling a delicious variety of quiches, and indulging in an irresistible selection of beautifully decorated cakes and sweet treats. Our residents had fun learning new French phrases, with everyone eager to have a go – lots of laughter as we tried (and tried again!) to pronounce them correctly! This Parisian experience was the perfect finale to our mini cruise, leaving us full of happy memories and very full stomachs!
