Resident, John Roberts at Kingsland House, worked on the buses from the age of fifteen and loves anything to do with buses. He celebrated his recent birthday with handmade cake that was bus themed!
When the activities team found out there was a bus exhibition at the local community centre in Shoreham, they just had to organise a trip there for him! John was very excited to go and see it and saw lots of his friends from his bus days!
It brought back lots of memories and was very nostalgic for him and he thoroughly enjoyed the day as did the rest of residents that joined him on the outing.
The exhibition was full of different displays of collectable model buses from the 1920's to present day, various books & magazines and other memorabilia.
Ana Hyne, General Manager at the home, said: “Kingsland House love to make residents wishes come true and get great pleasure in seeing the joy it brings to the their faces.”
