New interactive TV brings joy and connection to residents

We are delighted to share that Anita Stone Court Nursing Home in Moseley, Birmingham, has introduced a new De Beleef TV for our residents, thanks to the generous support of a local Foundation.

De Beleef TV is an interactive touchscreen system designed for older people, including those living with dementia. It offers a wide range of activities that support cognitive wellbeing and social interaction.

Our Activities Lead, Tomi, says it has quickly become a favourite. Residents particularly enjoy listening to music, completing crosswords and word searches, using the drawing app and taking part in the weekly Friday quiz. The system is simple to use, allowing staff, residents and visiting family members to join in easily.

Music has been especially powerful, with familiar songs prompting singing, conversation and shared memories. These moments help residents feel connected and uplifted.

Families have told us they value being able to choose activities together during visits, creating meaningful time with their loved ones.

At BCOP, we are committed to providing high-quality, person-centred care in a warm and welcoming environment. The addition of De Beleef TV at Anita Stone Court is another example of our continued investment in enhancing daily life for older people in Birmingham.
