Valentine’s Bakes & Bubbles Celebration at Ferrars Hall

Residents at Country Court were proud to take part in the annual Valentine’s Bakes and Bubbles event, enjoying a special afternoon tea prepared by our home’s talented chefs. The celebration included a glass of prosecco, beautifully prepared selection of savoury bites, homemade bakes, classic favourites, along with live entertainment by James Reynolds which kept everyone smiling throughout the afternoon.

In the week leading up to the event, residents helped prepare for the event by making and decorating heart-themed crafts to display around the home. This gave everyone the chance to get involved and helped create a warm and welcoming Valentine’s atmosphere throughout Ferrars Hall.

Katie Peters, Customer Relations Manager commented: “At Ferrars Hall Care Home in Huntingdon we wanted to showcase the amazing work our chefs prepare for the residents, and this was the perfect opportunity for the kitchen to put on a showstopping spread of afternoon tea treats. Food plays an important role in the resident’s day-to-day life with meals being tailored to their preferences and dietary needs. The Bakes & Bubbles event gave the wider community a chance to see the hard work that the chefs put in to make each meal perfect for each resident.

Our Bakes & Bubbles Valentine’s celebration was truly wonderful. Seeing the residents singing along and sharing laughter over afternoon tea and a glass of bubbles was incredibly moving. The beautiful live music filled our home with love and joy.”
