Bushey House Beaumont to Host Parkinson’s Awareness Afternoon for Local Community Bushey House Beaumont is inviting members of the local community to attend an informative Parkinson’s Awareness Afternoon on Thursday 9 April, from 2.00pm to 4.30pm. The event has been organised to offer valuable advice, practical support and greater understanding for those living with Parkinson’s, as well as for families, friends and carers supporting a loved one with the condition. Guests will hear from Sarah Sales of Parkinson’s UK, who will give a talk on the signs, symptoms and support available for people affected by Parkinson’s. This will be followed by a Parkinson’s-focused exercise session led by John Molyneux from Molyneux Fitness, highlighting the importance of movement and physical activity in managing the condition. The afternoon will conclude with a session from a Speech and Language Therapist, offering insight into communication and swallowing challenges that can be associated with Parkinson’s. The event aims to provide an accessible and supportive environment where attendees can learn more about the condition, gain practical guidance and connect with others who may be facing similar experiences. Refreshments will be available throughout the afternoon. Mary Jane Bague, General Manager at Bushey House Beaumont said: “We are pleased to be hosting this important awareness event for our local community. Parkinson’s can have a significant impact not only on those living with the condition, but also on the families and carers who support them. We hope this afternoon will provide helpful information, reassurance and practical advice for everyone attending.” This promises to be an invaluable opportunity for anyone living with Parkinson’s, caring for someone with the condition, or simply wishing to understand more.
