Absolute first class operation from the general manager Mary Jane who assessed my mother on her days off and the staff who immediately assisted in admitting my mother. Heidi was instrumental in calming down our concerns during this exceptionally difficult period. My mother advises that the entire team had treated with immense compassion, respect, and dignity throughout her stay at Barchester Bushey House. My elderly aunt was admitted for end of life care at this care home. She received the highest standard of care from all the staff looking after her. They were professional and caring and we were always made very welcome when we visited. She had a lovely room on the ground floor where she could look out at the trees which she loved. The team invited us for a meal when my aunt was near the end of her life. She wasn't well enough to eat with us but it gave my siblings and I an opportunity to all be together with my aunt in her last days. I highly recommend this wonderful care home if you are looking for a nurturing caring home for a family member.

Welcome to Bushey House's website. My name is Mary Jane and I am General Manager at the home.
I have been at Bushey House since April 2022. I qualified as a nurse in 1991 working in the NHS from 1999 to 2016. I joined Barchester Healthcare in 2016 as a Deputy Manager and have supported care homes for many years.
We aspire to be the most respected home in the area. My passion is to ensure that our residents are provided with the very best of care, dignity, respect and support to enable them to live a healthy and happy life.
I have been a nurse for over 13 years. My responsibilities include overseeing the nursing team at Bushey House, ensuring that high-quality healthcare is delivered to our residents. I provide mentorship and training for our nurses and function as a Care Coordinator. I am also the Wellbeing Champion, which entails planning and facilitating activities for residents and staff to promote health and well-being.
I enjoy travelling, visiting historical places and singing.
