Bushey House is a historic, Grade II listed building located in the heart of Bushey Village, close to Watford and NW London providing high quality residential and nursing care.

Set in stunning grounds with fantastic views, Bushey House has a welcoming coffee lounge with homemade cakes on entrance with further lounges and drawing rooms, for both residents and families to enjoy. A particular favourite is the Lawn Room, with panoramic views across the local countryside, followed closely by the bright conservatory leading to manicured grounds.

All the rooms are spacious with a touch of luxury and offer en-suite facilities throughout. Rooms can be personalised by each resident with pictures, furniture and other keepsakes important to them.

Bushey House offers 24 hour nursing care, residential care, respite and short term convalescence as well as end of life palliative care with nurses and a care team on hand 24 hours a day. The team of highly-qualified and attentive staff, focus on the individual needs of residents, with a tailored care plan for each individual. Their dedication can be seen across the board with a life enrichment program to meet each residents needs and interests.

This care home has much to satisfy demanding residents and is clean and well-kept. The staff are pleasant and helpful to both residents and visitors. The food is adequate in both quality and quantity and served by pleasant staff.

My husband was a resident for 4 months. He was treated with dignity and care. The staff looking after him were excellent. The care and attention he received was exceptional. He settled very quickly due to the staff looking after him.

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I have recently been taking my mum to activities at the care home. She is introduced to the residents and included with the residents to warm drinks and food and the staff are very caring. I pick her up and she is always chatting away with new people smiling
and laughing. They have a very good social life which keeps everyone happy, interested and engaged.

I was here for a week's respite. The staff were very friendly. They answered calls for assistance very promptly. They were helpful in catering for my dietary requirements. The room was bright but not sure of the cleaning routine, it was not cleaned every day. It's not appropriate to be disturbed when
already in bed at 10 pm to fill in a questionnaire on my toilet habits or have a Covid test, I know it's essential but timing! A mostly favourable experience.

My father spent 18 months here and from the very beginning the standard of care, particularly the nursing care, was abysmal. We wish we took the decision to move him out sooner, but the care home ''world'' was a new experience for us as a family and we took a lot on trust. I would not recommend staying
here long or short term, such was the unsatisfactory nature of care and finger pointing lead by senior management (still there) when serious issues arose.

We have been more than delighted with the care in Bushey House my father has received as well as the manager and friendly staff that treat the residents of the home with warmth. It is a beautiful house with magnificent views that most residents would only dream of.

My mother has stayed in Bushey House Beaumont three times now, as a temporary resident and has always had the best care one could ask for. Medical care is always available, and all the staff could not be more kind and caring to her. We are very happy and have peace of mind knowing this home looks after

This was my mother's second visit to Barchester Bushey House Beaumont and once again the staff and care have been excellent. Apart from the weekend when there were staff issues in the kitchen, the food was really good too.
There was always a good choice of entertainment and they tried to include my
mother whenever possible.

My father's respite stay provided him with the high level of care he needed from a team of kind, caring and supportive carers. The whole family were impressed by the care and attention he received to ensure every need was more than met. He enjoys the food, the company of the carers and the entertainment.

Two years ago living alone in the family home, I felt I was not safe there or when I went outside. I, therefore, came here. It has provided all I could desire and I would not wish to be anywhere else. There is a lot of love in this place.

I have been at Bushey House since April 2022. I qualified as a nurse in 1991 working in the NHS from 1999 to 2016. I joined Barchester Healthcare in 2016 as a Deputy Manager and have supported care homes for many years.


We aspire to be the most respected home in the area. My passion is to ensure that our residents are provided with the very best of care, dignity, respect and support to enable them to live a healthy and happy life.

I have been a nurse for over 13 years. My responsibilities involve oversight of the nursing team at Bushey House ensuring high-quality health care is delivered for our residents. I am delighted to be able to play my part in helping to bring joy and laughter into our residents’ daily lives and offer them an interesting choice of events to do just that.

Avni Fejzullau

Job Title: Head Chef / Nutrition Champion Joined: 2005

Avni's passion for his cooking is reflected in the delivery of his food. Having won Barchester's Chef of the Year in 2008.


He and his team continue to produce inviting and delicious menus, if there is nothing on the menu you like ask and he will endeavour to please.


Avni is also one of the leaders of the Chef Academy wherein they are responsible for training new Chefs.


He has also continued to uphold the 5-star dining experience award of Barchester.

Collette Mangan

Job Title: Head of Housekeeping/Infection Control Champion Joined: 2024

My role is to ensure the home is kept safe and clean. I am also the Infection Control Champion working closely with the nursing team to maintain the highest standards of hygiene in the home. I love to look after our beautiful residence and to make it inviting and comfortable for residents and their visitors.


I love spending time with family and friends including going to the cinema and sampling new restaurants.
