Anchor's Bloomfield Court care home in Tipton has been celebrating the 106th birthday of resident Maisie Mcilree.

In celebration of Maisie's milestone birthday, Bloomfield Court pulled out all the stops to put on a memorable party complete with a live singer, cake, and flowers. Maisie was joined by family, fellow residents, and the team at Bloomfield Court for the occasion.

Alongside a birthday telegram from the King and a wonderful collection of cards sent in from the local community, Maisie enjoyed the celebrations surrounded by the people who matter most to her.

Maisie love spending time with her family and enjoyed many holidays in Blackpool. Maisie loves cake especially cream cakes and used to work in a cake factory.

Maisie has called Bloomfield Court home since last year. The team there were proud to put on a celebration worthy of her remarkable life, and it was a day that meant as much to the colleagues and residents as it did to Maisie herself.

Maisie Mcilree, resident at Bloomfield Court care home, said: “People always find my age fascinating, and I find it so funny! Today has been a really lovely day and it means so much to have my family and friends here with me at Bloomfield Court.”

Georgina Boden, Home Manager at Bloomfield Court, said: “Maisie means a great deal to everyone here at Bloomfield Court, and we wanted to make sure her 106th birthday felt like the occasion it truly is. Seeing her surrounded by her family today, with a live singer and a room full of people who care about her, was just wonderful. It was a really lovely afternoon."
