Recently at The Old Downs Residential Care Home in Dartford, we set sail to Jamaica! It was our second virtual Nellsar cruise of the year, and we were excited to see where this one would take us.
We spent the morning preparing for our departure by putting up our flags, handing out boarding passes and putting on our sun hats! In the afternoon, we gathered to watch a travel vlog of Jamaica, allowing us to soak up the sunshine and beautiful scenery from the comfort of our Home.
A highlight of our adventure was our impressive cocktail trolley, filled with Jamaican-inspired tipples. We had three delicious options on offer: chocolate and raspberry martinis, piña coladas and Bob Marleys. They looked delicious and our residents enjoyed choosing their favourites from the colourful selection.
Everybody enjoyed their drinks while listening to reggae music, and our Chef Sue prepared a sticky Jamaican ginger cake as an extra treat — absolutely scrumptious!
It was a fabulous day filled with sweet tipples, smiles, blue skies and good vibes!
