Hurstwood View Care Home in Five Ash Down, Uckfield brings magic to the home with ‘Marco’s Magic’, Marco is a local magician that provides fun and enjoyment to all. His style is cabaret with stage magic. Magic for care homes especially care homes with dementia residents give fantastic interactive benefits by reducing apathy, anxiety and restlessness. Hurstwood View invited all the community to this free event. Children and their parents turned up to sit with Hurstwood view residents to see, Marco and his stimulating and social interactions, fostering joyful moments which improves overall wellbeing for everyone involved in, Marco’s entertainment. Loads of Easter goodies, food and drinks were also on offer as always. Kirsty, General Manager of the home, said: “We’re excited to bring a touch of magic to the residents at our home. These kind of entertainments makes a big difference by helping to connect residents with staff, with each other, and of course the community and its great fun for the young at heart. Our varied life enrichment programme keeps residents active, and provides a daily choice of engaging physical, mental and spiritual activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities.
