Staff at Leeming Bar Grange in Leeming Bar have taken part in a sponsored fun run to raise money for Leeming Bar Grange Resident’s Fund.

Staff had an egg-cellent time taking part in the 5k Northallerton Parkrun as part of the home’s 'Chicken Run' fundraiser. All in support of raising funds for some egg-stra special Easter treats for their wonderful residents! There were smiles, laughter, and a few speedy sprints along the way, and they even managed to answer the age-old question of who came first, the chicken or the egg! Despite ending up as roasted chickens and a fried egg, everyone did egg-cellently!

Kathryn Billett, General Manager at Leeming Bar Grange Care Home, said: “Taking part in this challenge has been a huge amount of fun and everyone at the home has been behind us all the way! The aching feet have been so worth it to see the smiles on resident’s faces as they received their egg-stra special Easter treats!”

Leeming Bar Grange raised over £200 by completing the challenge, which has been donated to Leeming Bar Grange’s Resident’s Fund.
