Stanley Wilson Lodge’s Easter Fete

Last Updated: 09 Apr 2026 @ 00:00 AM

On 4th April, Stanley Wilson Lodge proudly hosted a wonderful Easter Fete fundraiser for residents and the wider community. The event brought everyone together for a day filled with joy, featuring live music from singer Thomas Huttlestone, delicious handmade cakes, a lively tombola, craft activities, face painting, and an exciting Easter egg hunt. A true highlight of the day was Jean, one of our lovely residents, who ran her own stall showcasing beautifully hand-knitted baby jumpers and hats. Jean has lovingly made many of these items herself, alongside a selection kindly donated by fellow resident Denise. She was delighted to make several sales—something she described as “brilliant!” In a generous gesture, Jean donated all proceeds to a baby charity close to her heart. As the celebrations continued, we couldn’t miss the chance to mark Ted’s birthday, which fell the following day. Ted took to the mic to sing one of his all-time favourite songs, My Way, followed by a heartfelt rendition of “Happy Birthday” from everyone, accompanied by Tom on the trumpet. It truly was an incredible day, shared with family, friends, team members, and the local community—full of laughter, music, and meaningful moments
