Bright, clean, comfortable and homely. Attentive and caring staff and management who always are happy to hear your thoughts and concerns. Regular activities to occupy my Dad. Everybody is trying the best in challenging circumstances due to his dementia. I feel he is cared for when I'm not there. The cost is very high but not compared with others. Apparently care just IS very expensive everywhere.

"Thank you so much for your incredibly kind words. Our team works hard to provide a warm, supportive environment, and it is wonderful to hear how much you & your dad appreciate it. I will make sure to pass your lovely feedback onto the Team!"

Stanley Wilson Lodge provided excellent care for mum from the day she arrived. The staff at the desk, admin, cleaners, carers and activity workers were so kind, welcoming and helpful. Mum only had a short time in the home, but it became her home very quickly. She loved the garden and the food and made new friends. This gave her a new lease of life. She was safe and happy. Finally, a heartfelt thank you to the caring team. They helped her with dignity and kindness and helped grant her final wish, to die at home with the patio doors open and the birds singing.

I came to Stanley Wilson having suffered an awkward fall and fractured some ribs, so I was in pain. The staff were very kind and welcoming. I found them friendly and interesting to talk to, especially about their home countries. The patience and care I received when I was taken to the dentist for an extraction was noteworthy. On one occasion, I fell in the bathroom and was quickly helped up. My room was quite big enough to accommodate several visitors. The facilities were well planned, but I found the toilet awkward with the commode placed over it.

The meals were excellent, and I enjoyed eating in the restaurant area and dining room. The night nurses made me feel safe at night.

Thank you Edward for your positive review of Stanley Wilson Lodge . It was a pleasure for us all as a Team to meet you and to provide care and support for you while your recovered from your fall prior to moving here and your tooth extraction ! We look forward to being able to support you again in the future should the need arise. Best wishes from us all at Stanley Wilson Lodge.

My wife was diagnosed with altzheimers disease in 2020 and attends the Saffron Club day centre on two days each week. There are activities which the staff help her to take part in and she has a freshly cooked meal. The staff are professional, caring and friendly and I cannot speak highly enough of them.

My 90-something father is very happy and comfortable at Stanley Wilson Lodge. He's been there for nearly 12 months and throughout this time, his experience, and ours as visitors, has been consistently really good. The dedicated staff are warm, friendly, smiley, helpful, professional, compassionate and just brilliant - Thanks to you all and Happy New Year!

My mother has been very well cared for at Stanley Wilson's. She has only been here three weeks. The third floor is a bit bare of Christmas decorations and cheer, but she is very well looked after. Her room is comfortable and clean.

Having cared for my husband at home for two and a half years, I was anxious about finding a care home where he would be treated as an individual by a team of warm, caring and highly skilled staff. I needn't have worried.
My instinct that this was an extremely well run care home was soon borne out. It became clear that administrative, care, nursing and "behind the scene" staff had worked successfully together for a long while.
My husband sees familiar faces every day and, should anyone be absent, that place is filled by someone from Stanley Wilson's own staff bank.
I feel we have a real rapport with staff and sense of working together for my husband's health and wellbeing.
Friends and family who have visited always report how they were welcomed in reception and by care and nursing staff.

When my visit is over, I always leave feeling relaxed and with a smile on my face knowing my husband is receiving the best of care.

The Care Home has been amazing, following a fall that left my uncle unable to continue living independently. It has proven to be a home away from home. Providing excellent care while adapting to his changing needs. It has allowed the family to feel welcome with a warm environment when visiting. It is spotlessly clean, has a bright friendly reception, and a relaxing garden for one to one time. I have every confidence the nursing care he is receiving is of the highest standard. All the staff are friendly and approachable while continuing to be professional. I am very grateful to have found it, and would not hesitate to recommend it.

I am extremely happy with the care given to my relative. The carers are very attentive and are always cheerful, polite and helpful. The home is kept clean and all staff work together to provide a first class service. The meals are very good and there are always options to choose from. I would definitely recommend Stanley Wilson Lodge to anyone who is looking for a care home for their loved one. Also the activities program each week has something for everyone.
