We are delighted to announce an exciting new partnership between Westgate Healthcare and danceSing, bringing a fresh approach to wellbeing across four of our homes: Chestnut Manor, Meadowhill Care Home, Burford House Care Home and Byron House Care Home.

This collaboration marks a big step forward in our ongoing commitment to enriching the lives of our residents. Supporting not only their care needs, but their overall happiness, connection and sense of purpose.

What is danceSing?

danceSing is a digital wellbeing platform designed specifically for care environments. Built around the combination of music, movement and mindfulness, it offers a range of accessible activities including dance fitness, yoga, Pilates, singing and guided relaxation.

danceSing is about more than just activity – it’s about creating moments of joy, self-expression and connection. The programmes support physical, emotional and cognitive wellbeing, while reducing loneliness and encouraging social engagement.

Backed by research and developed in collaboration with leading universities, danceSing has been shown to make a meaningful difference in care settings, enhancing quality of life for residents while also supporting staff wellbeing.

Bringing Wellbeing to Life in Our Homes

Through this partnership, our residents will have access to a varied programme of activities tailored to their individual needs and abilities. From energising movement sessions to calming mindfulness and the shared joy of singing, every experience is designed to spark engagement and bring people together.

The platform also includes a unique 24/7 wellbeing radio station, offering uplifting music and guided content throughout the day. Creating a positive, calming atmosphere within our homes.

Importantly, danceSing empowers our teams too. With training and easy-to-use resources, our staff are supported to confidently deliver meaningful, high-quality wellbeing experiences as part of everyday care.

Lucie Baker, Group Wellbeing Manager spoke about the importance of implementing this platform, here’s what she had to say. “We are excited to bring danceSing into four of our care homes, marking an important step forward in how we support residents’ wellbeing. This is about more than just activities. It’s about creating moments of joy, connection, and self-expression. By combining music, movement, and mindfulness in an interactive and accessible way, residents can engage in meaningful experiences whenever they choose, supporting both their independence and overall wellbeing.”

Natalie Garry, Founder of danceSing, shared her thoughts on the partnership, highlighting the deeper impact of bringing music and movement into care home environments. "From the very first session, the energy across the Westgate team has been exceptional. Led by Lucie Baker’s enthusiasm and determination, there is a genuine ripple effect through staff and residents alike. What stands out is their commitment to embracing evidence based digital wellbeing through music and movement. This is not just about activity, it is about improving health, confidence and connection, and ultimately supporting longer, healthier lives for the people in their care."
