Mulberry Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes group, was delighted to welcome pupils from The Meads Primary School for a heartwarming arts and crafts session held on Friday 17 April 2026.
The visit is part of a long-standing and valued relationship between the care home and the nearby school, located just a short distance away. Over the years, regular visits between residents and students have fostered meaningful intergenerational connections.
Residents joined members of the Lifestyle Team and the visiting students for a creative session. A particularly special highlight of the day was when resident Mary shared the experience with her great-granddaughter Scarlett, making the occasion even more memorable for both family and fellow residents.
The presence of the young visitors created a lively and uplifting environment throughout the home, reinforcing the importance of community engagement and intergenerational activities in enhancing residents’ wellbeing.
Mulberry Court looks forward to continuing its close partnership with The Meads Primary School and hosting many more shared experiences in the future.
