Staff and residents at Barchester’s Lindum House Care Home in Beverley were treated to a wonderful afternoon of musical entertainment thanks to three generations of the same talented family of singers.

Paul Julian and his wife, Pat, have been married for over 60 years and have recently moved into Lindum House. Paul was a regular on the club circuit for many years performing as part of ‘The Society of Mice’ and ‘The Two Cavaliers.’ It was at Pat’s local pub, The Spring Head, where Paul used to sing every week, that they first met. Their son, Gary Julian, has carried on the family tradition and can regularly be found performing locally in the pubs and clubs.

Following in their footsteps, grandson Liam Alexander (Julian) is also a talented singer. He started young at the age of eight and now performs in tribute acts in the local area. He joined forces with his dad and, later on in the set, his grandpa too, and three generations of the Julian family entertained the residents. The Julians sang a whole range of different styles of music from Gene Pitney to Elvis, Neil Diamond and even Nessun Dorma to the delight of the audience.

Jayne Clark, General Manager at Lindum House remarked: “Music is so therapeutic, it puts a smile on everyone’s faces. We are so grateful to all three generations of the Julian family for entertaining us, they are so talented. It was a really special afternoon for us all to share, we thoroughly enjoyed it.”

Beryl, a resident at Lindum House, commented: “It was so lovely to hear their three voices and really heart-warming to see Paul join in and sing so well at the end of the set. What a wonderful memory for them to cherish.”
