Chirk Court, home to 66 elderly residents near Wrexham, is well-known for its warm, friendly and homely environment. So, the team was delighted when the care home, along with some colleagues and residents, were given the opportunity to take centre stage for not one, but two film crews!
A crew from S4C recently visited Chirk Court to film a segment for the 'Prynhawn Da' afternoon show, on the success of the scheme’s sensory garden. They interviewed staff and residents about the positivity of spending time in the garden. This segment will be shown in the next couple of weeks.
The story illustrates how the staff team at Chirk Court help the residents to find joy and connection in the power of nature.
Also at Chirk Court recently, the team welcomed a film crew commissioned by Saint John’s Ambulance Cymru.
The SJA team chose Chirk Court as an ideal location for their new ‘immersive training video’. They used modern ‘360’ camera technology to help create new training resources for SJA's volunteers, as well as other individuals in the caring profession.
This interactive training video is expected to be ready in August.
