Knight Frank, a global real estate consultant, annually recognises the 100 most luxurious care homes across the country, each judged on numerous criteria including architecture, interior design and care quality. Forest Care, a small family owned and managed care group based in Hampshire and Surrey are delighted to be featured in the guide for their 2nd consecutive year.
In 2020, Rowan Lodge, a luxury residential care home located in North Hampshire, proudly made the top 100 list. For 2021, Holly Lodge is joining its sister home to receive the prestigious accolade.
Holly Lodge is a multi-award-winning specialist dementia care home located in idyllic woodlands near Camberley Surrey. It is innovatively designed to cultivate both calming and stimulating environments for the elderly.
Innovative design is evident throughout this prestigious home; all elements are designed to be multi-sensory, accommodating different conditions of dementia. Varying textures are used for soft furnishings, enabling residents to easily distinguish between items. Contrasting tones are incorporated into the interior décor for visual stimulus. Finally, a sensory garden allows residents to independently explore. The outdoor aviary is interactive, flowers of vivid colours are planted for residents to see and raised herb gardens allow residents to touch, smell and eat different plants.
Recognising that residents and relatives need quieter areas to enjoy, smaller break out spaces are also available within the safety of the home; including a Covid-safe visiting room, pub, gallery, family room, cinema and alcove lounges.
