Holly Lodge Care Home

Mam was a resident at Holly Lodge for two and a half years. Over this time, she was treated with the utmost care and compassion, especially during the last few weeks of her life. The whole team at Holly Lodge are amazing and it feels like one big family. My family and I will be forever grateful to the staff for the support and sensitivity shown throughout Mam's stay.

My mother spent the last nine months of her life in Holly Lodge. My sister and I moved her from another care home in Deepcut as we were unhappy with her care there. From day one in Holly Lodge we knew we had made the right move. Excellent activities and care that went above and beyond. All the staff up to & including management were approachable & felt like family.

I am free to visit any time day or night.

My Mum has been at Holly Lodge for over 6 months now. Settling in took quite a long time, with different challenges along the way. Staff are very welcoming when we visit, keeping us up-to-date, showing great kindness and care for Mum. We, as visitors, are always made to feel welcome and we have been able to use the 'family room' for a couple of small family gatherings. Due to Mum's condition, she isn't able to make use of all the facilities and activities put on at Holly Lodge but the staff do try and include her where appropriate.

I will be forever grateful to all the staff at HL for their care and treatment of dad during his 8 month residency. I was particularly impressed with the compassion and sensitivity shown to us and to him. during the last weeks of his life.

I was reassured and pleased to observe first hand the courtesy and kindness exercised by staff to our relative in the last few weeks of his life. They were considerate and supportive of my daughters and were prepared to give information and explanations of actions that were taken to make him as comfortable as possible. They showed sensitivity and compassion. Thank you.

Holly Lodge provided exceptional care for my mother for 2 1/2 years. The staff showed exceptional care and respect for Mum as her health became weaker. Mum enjoyed so many activities at Holly Lodge, we were so grateful for all the staff for the love and care which they showed to Mum and the other residents. Mum has been a resident at Holly Lodge for five months. She has settled extremely well. Her anxiety levels have dropped dramatically, due to the skills of the nursing team and genuinely caring and polite staff. The catering team produce a wide variety of appetising and nutritionally balanced food. The entertainment staff are always cheerful and have a great variety of activities on offer. They produce a news paper, which keeps residents connected to their loved ones. There are also places for those who enjoy quiet time. The beautiful gardens are easily accessible. Visitors are encouraged and welcome to call at any time.The cleaning staff keep everything spotless. Mum has regular visits from the lovely doctor, chiropodist and hairdresser, and enjoys having a manicure. Her personal hygiene is well managed and she is always neatly presented. The management team are efficient, helpful and approachable. I cannot fault this very caring home and would recommend it without hesitation.

We're pleased with the care and attention our Mum has received. The staff are attentive, aware of her needs and respond to Mum in a kind and caring way with dignity and respect. Even if the staff are busy with other residents, they keep any eye out for anything else that is happening and respond quickly and appropriately. The home is always spotlessly clean and tidy with a lovely atmosphere. We've been kept fully informed and updated about Mum and included in conversations with the doctor, outcomes of any other discussions and ongoing follow-ups about how she is progressing and what we can do to help. The Activities Team are well led, full of energy, good fun and provide such a variety of activities to suit everyone. The array of outside entertainers and visitors provided is second to none and it's good to see that they are inclusive of all residents. Holly Lodge is well led and managed and provides a safe and caring environment. We couldn't have chosen a better home for our Mum.

Holly Lodge is an excellent dementia care home. The staff are brilliant - caring, friendly and attentive. The activities and entertainment is engaging - you can see the resident's enjoyment. Holly Lodge gives relatives ‘piece of mind’ that their loved ones are safe and well looked after.

Fantastic home, with fantastic staff. I can’t praise it highly enough. My wife is so well cared for. The home is always immaculate. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. I really couldn’t have found a better home for my wife.

When my friend was admitted to Holly Lodge 2.5 years ago, after caring for her for years I felt really sad that I could no longer manage. I need not have worried that although I miss her so much she is happy and well cared for. Holly Lodge is such a happy, welcoming and friendly place. Over the past nine months, we have found Holly Lodge to be excellent. The environment is lovely, the staff are caring, and my father-in-law is very well cared for. Since moving into Holly Lodge he has got involved in all sorts of activities and has made new friends which is lovely to see.
