The care and attention given to my mother over the last 12-18 months has been exceptional. The facilities at Holly Lodge are excellent, and all of the staff throughout the home have taken the greatest care possible of my mum. I will never forget the time she has spent here and would recommend any family to consider using Holly Lodge. 10/10.

My brother and I are extremely happy with the care that our Mum has received at Holly Lodge since she moved in. All the staff make you feel welcome, whether they be management, admin, catering or laundry staff, nurses or carers and nothing is too much trouble for them. I have been particularly touched by the way staff have tried to accommodate our Mum's cultural needs by asking about her food and music preferences. Not just asking but taking action such as playing her favourite music on the large tablet in the lounge area. I think it shows the high calibre of the home when things don't go smoothly. I have seen this by the way that staff have kept us fully informed about Mum when she has not been well, what the plan is eg discuss with in-house GP and the outcome of any discussion, with ongoing follow up about how she is progressing and what if anything we can do to help. It is a true partnership. We were so worried about how Mum would adjust but are totally reassured. Highly recommended.

The care my wife receives is first class.
The staff be they carers or admin are so kind and helpful and are always ready to answer any queries or provide any information I might request.
They always pull out the stops for special occasions, especially for my wife's birthday. It is a pity that my wife appears to have no idea what is happening around her.

Thank you all so much.

Holly Lodge is amazing, my mum has been a resident for four years and the care that she is given is outstanding.
The staff do such a brilliant job and are all so friendly. I am always kept informed with any updates to my Mums condition/medication etc.
I honestly couldn't wish for a better home for my Mum.
She is being looked after so well it really does make dealing with her illness slightly easier.

Thanks for all you do.

Holly Lodge provides an excellent standard of care for my dad who was diagnosed with Lewy body dementia 11 months ago. My dad has settled in very well thanks to the homely/welcoming atmosphere and the amazing staff who go above and beyond to ensure my dad's needs are met every day.

As always, Holly Lodge do a brilliant job looking after dad. I cannot fault them. The extra fuss made on him for his 93rd birthday was perfect. He is so well looked after it takes the strain and worry form me and other family members. The staff are wonderful, and nothing is too much for them to make dad and all the other residents comfortable. I would not hesitate to recommend Holly Lodge for dementia sufferers.

Holly Lodge is excellent. They have cared for our mother with dementia for 3.5 years - not an easy job but they have cared for her with dignity and compassion. Holly Lodge is comfortable, clean with good food and lovely gardens. It is a lovely place to visit. The staff are always very friendly when we visit and know who we are. They operate as a team and if we need anything they are very approachable and keep us informed as to anything we need to know. Management is excellent and very approachable.

We have been really pleased with the care given to our Dad at Holly Lodge. The team make sure his needs are met and offer lots of activities which has really helped his transition into a care home. He enjoys the food and the residence is always spotless. The staff show real care and I would definitely recommend Holly Lodge for any family looking for similar care.

My sisters and I are very happy with Holly Lodge and the care they provide to our Father. It is a very clean, inviting environment. The staff are just wonderful, they care for Dad's physical needs and also his mental well being. Some staff members have friendly banter with Dad which brightens his day. The management team of this care home should be commended for the efficient and caring way the home is operated.

From my first contact with Holly Lodge, I was confident that my mother was in safe hands. The staff could not have been more understanding and accommodating, it was a breath of fresh air, having had a difficult experience at another home. Unfortunately, my mother was taken ill and then spent many weeks in hospital and sadly was only finally transferred in her final days of life. Words cannot express how supportive every single member of the team were, every day until my mother passed away. They treated my mother with the utmost respect and care, along with constantly reassuring my daughter and I. The staff checked on us constantly, always making sure we had everything we needed and my mother was as comfortable as possible. It made both my mother’s end of life journey and my family’s stress and grief so much more bearable and easier to have to go through. I will forever be grateful for their professionalism, care and understanding. I cannot recommend the team highly enough.

This is the best nursing home in the country and we are very satisfied with the care Mum has received over the last five and a half years. We are hopeful it will stay that way despite the many difficulties it has faced dealing with Covid and ever-changing government rules. They’ve done a great job so far and the managers and staff are so lovely. Big Thanks for giving us peace of mind Holly Lodge.

My uncle is very well cared for. He is always smiling when we visit and enjoying the many activities. Throughout the pandemic we have been kept up to date and even able to visit because they built a covid-safe visiting room. An excellent care for those living with dementia.

If you are in the unfortunate position to need a care home then Holly Lodge is one of the best. I’m so thankful that my friend has found a home that can care for her while still supporting her to be independent. Even throughout the pandemic, we’ve been able to meet up for a chat in a safe way, which I’m grateful for.

Holly Lodge’s care towards residents is genuine and personalised. They take the time to know residents individually which is lovely to see. When my friend arrived at Holly Lodge for the first time, her favourite chocolates and magazine were by her bed, a lovely personal touch on what could have been a daunting day. Whenever I visit I’m greeted warmly by the staff who all know my name. Holly Lodge genuinely cares for its residents.

The whole family are pleased that Dad is being cared for at Holly Lodge, following stays in another care home and two assessment centres.

He is now on the correct medication and is settling into his final "home". He needs nursing care, and the staff are friendly, helpful and smiling etc whenever I have visited. The home itself. is like a five-star hotel and I would recommend it to any family in similar circumstances.

Best place we'd seen on our initial search in September 2016, even more, impressive after significant upgrades in late 2019.
Staff are pleasant, helpful and cheerful, considering the behaviour of some (few) residents - foul language. Forceful resistance to necessary activities, they do very well.
The good rating I have given, are not to be taken as serious criticism, just minor niggles on occasions.

A well-run place all round.

My father has been in nursing care at Holly Lodge for the past three years now. Though at first, he had difficulty settling down, I think all the staff did their very best to help him do so. I've been reassured by their professional and compassionate approach to my father's care and I certainly wouldn't hesitate to recommend Holly Lodge Nursing Home to anyone needing to place a loved one into nursing care.
