Holly Lodge Care Home

Extremely caring, friendly, knowledgeable staff, from top to bottom. My mum always looks well and very clean. All problems are dealt with quickly and efficiently. Their communications with relatives have also improved and any incident or problem is quickly reported to me. Considering the terrible mental condition my mum suffers from, this home is the safest, nicest possible place for her!

I can only recommend with confidence the care and consideration given to residents at Holly Lodge. The staff are most kind and sympathetic in every way. The facilities are excellent as is the care. The facilities and service are of the highest quality.

I have visited my wife every afternoon for 2 years and found her very relaxed and we are able to sit together on a very nice sofa where we can have a nice cuddle, and although she sleeps some of the time she seems very contented. She also has a very well equipped room which is superb.

My father, aged 94 and with dementia is in Holly Lodge, which has proved a good care home in every aspect and is probably one of the best in Surrey. Having assessed many other care homes prior to his moving in, my brother and I feel that it probably cannot be bettered after visiting every week for 2 years. The home is clean, tidy, well run and with regular activities for the clients, added to which the caring staff and nurses compliment the welcoming administrator and manager.

My wife is well cared for in a safe and friendly establishment.

I would recommend this care home and the only comment I would like to make to improve it would be to provide more information and assistance to relatives regarding care.

The care and empathy of the staff is absolutely first rate - they have treated my father with skill, dedication and dignity. Their communication with the family has been excellent and they have been very supportive of my mother, keeping her informed of my father's progress regularly. I cannot recommend Holly Lodge more highly!

Staff always friendly whatever time one visits and always offer refreshments to visitors. Rooms and other areas clean and tidy with pictures and items of interest for residents on display. My mother seems very happy and relaxed whenever I visit.

The homes interaction with other agencies, such as doctors surgery, local hospitals, the local council specialist teams was also first class. Even when my mother reached end of life care, palliative care, home staff were insistent that my mother came 'home' to be with friends.

It continues to be my first choice as far as my mothers care needs are concerned.

Staff seem very caring and engage with both service user and family. Cleaning goes on constantly. Good atmosphere.

The home ticks all the right boxes. We looked at 14 other homes in the local area. Mum has been with you for nearly 4 years and is always clean and tidy and well-kempt. All the staff from the very bottom up to the very top are wonderful and treat everyone with respect. Thank you very much for all the love and care you give our mum.

I would recommend this care home to family and friends. The property is maintained, example, the lounge has just had a new carpet fitted.

My father was admitted with challenging behaviour. The staff were extremely professional and helped on day one of my father's admission which had been a difficult time for the family. In the initial stages, there were some "settling in" which was challenging for the staff to get to know my father and him, them. The manager of the home at Holly Lodge took on concerns on board as did the nursing staff and kept us informed and showed sensitivity and care during the initial stages of the settling in period. Thereafter, the lessons learnt seemed to have been applied consistently and to date, my father seems content and happy at the home. The nurses and carers are respectful of my father and other residents for that matter and their care seems genuine and not just "playing to the crowd" when we visited or when other relatives of the residents are present. We hope that the good standard of genuine care and respect at the home continues for as long as my father remains in their care.

My mother receives excellent care and is well looked after. I would hope to receive similar treatment if I required it later in life. The staff to resident ratio is very good and the home is always clean and tidy.

Holly Lodge aims very high in standards of nursing, activity and pastoral care and has created a family atmosphere to include relatives and visitors if they so wish. Every member of staff contributes to the team strength and every resident is treated as a unique individual. After over 7 years of visiting, I will miss them. Funding of dementia care is a serious issue nowadays but the residential care of the quality offered by Holly Lodge should be made available for all dementia sufferers.

We are happy with our choice and would recommend.

Holly Lodge Nursing Home provides specialist care for people living with dementia. It is a purpose built nursing home and very close to where I live. My wife has only been there for 4 months. The staff are always caring and understanding. At present, I have no complaints.

My mum has been in this lovely home for the last 6 weeks since moving from a care home in Swansea. My mum has settled in really well thanks to the excellent care she has received.

He was only in the home for a few weeks but he settled well, was always looked after and cared for and the staff treated him with full dignity at all times. My only regret is that he was admitted to hospital for 2 weeks and on my insistance was returned to the above home. His care in hospital was not up to the standard of care received in Holly Lodge.

We were kept informed at all times and my daughter and myself were able to be present at his end. He died with dignity and pain-free. I could not have asked for anything more.

As I am retired district nurse I have been into a number of nursing homes in this area and Holly Lodge comes out top.
