Staff at Marriott House were delighted when Alex Macovei, Senior Care Assistant completed her training to become a Care Practitioner, a role which will enable her to support nurses in the home.
Alex was presented with her certificates and gifts at a celebration in the home to mark her achievement.
The Care Practitioner role has been introduced by Barchester Healthcare, the organisation that runs the home, in order to further develop talented care staff and enable them to give more support to the nurses working at the home.
Alex is the fourth person at the home to complete the course and is already making a big difference to maintaining and developing its standard of care.
Maxine Spincer General Manager at Marriott House said: “Alex is an integral member of the team who excels at what she does. I’m delighted that she has completed the training and progressed into this new role, which will help our home run even more efficiently and will enable Alex to develop her career further. She has worked so hard and I’m very proud of her.”
Alex said: “I have really enjoyed learning lots of new skills. I look forward to growing further within this role and continuing to support the people we care for.”
