Elstow Manor in Wixams will be marking Dementia Action Week from 18th to 22nd May, with a full programme of activities for residents, families, and the local community.

Throughout the week, guests are invited to join us for a range of engaging and supportive experiences:

Monday 18th May
Creative Mojo Art Therapy at 11:00
KiddletDivey music session from 13:30 to 14:30
Optional Dress in Denim for Dementia

Tuesday 19th May
Ragdolly Annas movement to music from 11:30 to 12:30
Pets as Therapy visit with Poppy from 14:00 to 15:30
Optional 60s and 70s disco outfits

Wednesday 20th May
Afternoon tea with live entertainment from Hannah Faulkner from 14:00 to 16:00
Optional bright colours

Thursday 21st May
Q and A with Head of Dementia David Moore from 10:00 to 15:00
Virtual Reality Dementia Bus from 11:00 to 16:00
Meet Julie Minter from June’s Wish Charity from 14:00 to 15:00
Meet Sarah Russell from Tibbs Dementia from 14:30 to 15:30

Friday 22nd May
Birds of prey experience from Herrings Farm from 14:00 to 15:30
Food tasting from around the world
Optional traditional dress

Complimentary lunch will be available throughout the week, with viewings offered by appointment. Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet the home’s Dementia Champions and Wellbeing Team.
